YOO-HOO!  I checked my calendar and I've got a hunch there are a few peeps racing this weekend.  Hands up people! Details on your strategy better be forthcoming!

WOO HOO... racing a 5k on sunday. One of only two runs in my city this year.

Strategy is to help pace a friend to her best 5k run yet and to have some fun. Then get right in the car and take my inlaws to costco shopping. Or that is what I am told I am doing...

Yes I am still alive, and planning on meeting some fellow fabulous mentor groupies at Rev 3.  I'm glad to hear this is a long training day for so many of you because that is what it is for me as well.  I want to see if all my swimming practice has paid off, hold the wattage zones on the bike, and see if I can push it some on the run.  Ugh.  I can't believe I am at the stage where a half is no longer my A race.  What was I thinking????

P.S. At least I don't have to worry about John smacking my like at Augusta

Wish best of luck to the racers this weekend!!!   You guys are making me feel like I want to do a HIM.   This year it's on hold because I will be really overwhelmed with school - final quarters and all that. I rather do really well for the race than to "just get by".  Maybe next year!

No racing for me for a while - haven't decided what races to do yet.

Best of luck to all the racers this weekend!  I'll pray for the rain to hold out during the race!

I put my HIM bib up for sale today.  I'm going to do the sprint instead, which I'm actually very excited about.  I'll get a bit more bike experience, and I'll get to watch Ryan for the HIM!  I've never gotten to watch him race, so it's a good thing!

Plus, I think I'm going to try for the Oshkosh Olympic in August with the extra money I'll be saving.  Lots of pluses!  Do any Wisconsin people know of another good Oly around August to do?

Still trying to make an appointment with the doctor again.  The knee has been doing better, but it's slow and short distances.  I just want to see if there's anything else I can do to help it along more.  Hopefully I'll get in first thing next week.  I still have one more contract due tomorrow, and then I have a scholarship interview on Friday, but I am SO close to being done with the semester!  Good feeling, even though my exams have been brutal!

I will try to be more active in the MG once I'm finally done!

You better treat that mini-me bike with TLC!  If anything goes wrong on my ride, I'll be gunning for you!  Safe drive and call us when you get to Knocksville!  We're swimming at 9am and I'll probably head to the noon meeting.

Leaving work early today to finish up packing then a nice 5-6 hour drive in the heart of rush hour, wheee!!!!!

I wish they would go back to 1/2 price kid tickets, would make air travel much more reasonable.

Terps421 - 2011-05-10 8:02 AM George, you are not in "Fatty -taper" mode, stop teasing your MG, go get on your bike, HIM is around the corner for you!

Oh, I love it when Terps gets feisty!!!!  Must be that podium thang.

I made the mistake of walking/hiking Ripley to the pet store to buy a new leash yesterday afternoon.  It's about 3 miles away but over big hills but she needed a walk.  Once there, I remembered to get the cat food and other miscellaneous groceries and by the time I got home, 20 lbs heavier, my right shoulder was aching, but I figured it was just a little sore from carrying the big backpack.

Today at swimming, my right shoulder was not happy when doing freestyle.  It still kind of aches near the serratus muscle.  A little concerned as I see a longish swim on Friday.  I may do ice and advil...kind of hoping it's just like being a little sore from gardening...yikes.  Cry

Just sore from using the muscles in ways you're not used to. 3 miles with and extra 20 lbs. yikes. Although I'm sure John could carry it OK.

No racing for me this weekend. It's out to help my youngest daughter move yet again. With all this moving I'm not sure why I am continuing strength training.
I had a great run last night. did 6.95K in 39:59 and felt great doing it. Now if I can just get under 9:00/ mi I'll be laughing or hacking up a lung. Feels good to finally be doing some serious training again. Hope I haven't jinxed myself saying that. Seems like this year every time I said I was doing good something else happened. Keeping fingers crossed!!!!
I am working with a guy in Guelph to try and get a marathon in October. We have an OK from the city and will be having our first race meeting Tomorrow. I am sooooo excited about this. It will be a huge boost to the city.  All my peeps can put out the word about the race in October in Guelph. There will be other distances as well but the marathon will be the big one. If anyone hears or knows of any big names that might be interested please let me know.

John, my plan is to let the air out of Doug's tires in transition. He is getting too fast.  He won't let me wear the aero helmet and now he is borrowing some race wheels for Rev 3 as well.  At least I won't let him borrow the Garmin 305 for the run. Gotta sport my 2 watch look or it wouldn't be a Tracy race.

Rob, good luck with the marathon.   Just recruit Suzy and Kim to duke it out on the course.

Holy Cow - my kids would be all over that.  We drove through that area on teh way home from MN last summer.  The race could be fun too!

I have one little race this weekend - the Little Rev Adventure race.  It's family member against family member.  We were already working on our team names last night!

Can't wait to see the gang this weekend.

Good luck racers and enjoy the training camp Kyla!
