Hey everybody I got some really GREAT news today.

My one month post treatment blood work came back and all is good.

What this means is that I am now at 99% chance of being cured.  I have two more blood work checks to go with last being in July.  If the last is good I am cured.  The first blood work post treatment was the biggest milestone to say.  So my chances went from 95% to 99% cured of something I have been battling since 2010.

Thank you ALL so very much for your prayers and support.  My Gods grace has once again shown to be great in answering your prayers.

Now train on!

<\p>That is great news! Congratulations bro- I am so happy for you,

Really, Thank you so much!

I am very nervous at what this year will bring with finial being totally healthy.  I guess I shouldn’t be.  Good training, support, faith and grace will carry me forward.

As everyone else has already said, that is great news James .

My copy of Swim Workouts for Triathlete's (formerly Swim Workouts in a Binder) arrived yesterday, just in time for tonight's swim! That and the weather seems to have suddenly improved so much that we'll soon be cycle outside again.

Thank you Stavros!

Enjoy your swim and let us know how you like the swim workouts in a binder.

I have a am swim and pm run today.

I am swimming with someone today (this never happens) she is a colligate swimmer and multiple IM/KQ’er.  I’ve known her a few years and never hooked for a swim.  She also is a Mark Allen (MA) team member.  It’s worked for her.

I've got some strength training and medium bike today.  Gonna be a chilly bike but I am going to do my best to get outside anyways.

Great news, James!

I spent 1:15 on the trainer this morning, and I'm hoping to hit the pool this afternoon.

Biking is priority #1 right now though, and I know I won't be able to ride this weekend, so I might ride again after work instead.

Got a longer progression run in this morning and it went very well.  I was actually considering staying in bed but after much deliberation got my arse out of bed and glad I did.  Going to hit up the pool here a bit later.

Got my swim in this morning but man, I did not have any mojo.  45 minutes on the trainer tonight.

Another bike question.  Is there value to riding in Z1 @100+ RPM once a week during the base period?  If so, what is the specific value?  My base period has me doing that and I'm thinking about riding at sweet spot instead.  In the build and peak phases my Sunday rides are Z1 @ 100+ RPM with a run later(not a transition run).  I get sticking with the plan but I'd like to add intensity where it's appropriate.

I am a huge fan of sticking to the plan, but I also have decided to never pick a plan that specifies RPM's again.  If they are having you ride easy you have to think there is a reason to the madness.  Like ensuring you can handle the 20 full weeks with no burn out.  Or setting you up for more intensity later on.  I've been doing a lot of my training in Z1, which has been driving me crazy, but I must say, now that they are throwing the intensity at me I am more then ready for it.  And I feel way better then any other plan has had me at this stage of the training.  So now I know I am getting good benefit from my intensity instead of doing it half arsed cause I do not have the energy.

What is the duration of the ride?  I do 45 minutes to 1 hr rides like this only as a recovery type workout after hard work the day before and my body is telling me to back off.  If I feel good then I would never just get on my bike and ride in Z1.

I am assuming your plan is a generic plan.  IMO If you want to add a little intensity to that ride it should not be a problem but monitor how it affects your workouts the following couple days and adjust the following week if necessary.
