Last year the winner finished with a 206:29:01 time. I guess the second is not that important in that time

8 days 14 hours 29 minutes and a second!

Oh goody!  See ya!

Hmmm, nobody else seems to be leaving yet.  I might have to wait to hear it from someone else.

What, do they start on the East coast and stop at the top of the Rockies?   I wonder how many contestants they have...

Never mind, I checked out the website, they bike and run in a little 1 mile circle - like 1000 laps of bike and 223 of run...  That would make it even worse!

*GROAN* No way I'd want to do that. At least if you were heading cross country such as RAAM you're seeing something different for 8 days.

rlejeune - 2009-07-02 7:54 AM Damn the guy did close to 10 IM and some double too. He qualified for Kona a couple of times and did it once. He's also into Ultra ...

Impressive...  I am getting close to getting my head wrapped around a half, an IM still seems like a long way, but a double???  That is crazy...  I even heard rumor of a different insanity - triple IM - you know after you knock out the 7.2 mile swim and the 336 mile bike ride, go ahead and do three marathons - 78.6 miles.  Triple IM  - for the OCD Athlete!

Once I did some research on the internet and found that there's a 10 * Ironman once a year.  Yeah you read right ... 24 miles swim 1120 miles ride and a 262 miles run to finish it off

http://www.multisport.com.mx/deca/index.htm

Um, is this all at once?

I think I'm going to have to click that link!

That's even worse that that ultra race.... 3100 miles around the block!

(I need to find that link. It takes place in NYC. They run around the block for like 3 months....)

206 hours????????????????????????????????????

And no, I don't think that 1 second is important. (Unless the 2nd place finisher is on your heels.)

Since it's just me in the SUV, I loaded up a bunch of stuff that was ready to be moved but just hasn't fit nicely on previous trips.  It's a strange collection of stuff, including my daughter's mountain bike, a lobster pot and a snow shovel.  People passing me on the highway can entertain themselves trying to figure out where I'm going for the weekend.

A lobster pot and a snow shovel?

I'd just figure that you were from Maine.

OK, so you've got 2 votes for work being done. If we add yours, that's a 3rd....

How many more do we need for a majority opinion? LOL

And now.... The moment you've all been waiting for!

And wow, the results were CLOSE!

FINAL RESULTS OF THE JUNE RUN CHALLENGE!

1st place - TASER RUNNING - 97%

And a TIE for 2nd place! With 95% each:
JUNE BUGS and TEAM TRIFECTA

Team TASER RUNNING: As the winning team, you may display a signature line: "My team won the June Run Challenge!"

But since the results are GREAT for all three teams, there is NO "losing penalty" this month.

In fact, I saw a lot of posts from people who ran more this past month than they ever have before. (Myself included). Way to go, guys!

CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE!

Thanks for participating! (In both the primary Running Challenge, and the secondary Post Padding Challenge!) And if you're looking for another challenge, check out Cat's TdF biking Challenge!

What are we eating today?

I had some leftover cream of broccoli soup from Panera Bread (last night's dinner).  I have half a sandwich that I didn't feel like eating.  Wasn't very hungry today.  Odd.
