and I may neez a bzzzzz zap tomorrow morning

Going on a new route. About 48 miles. And HILLY. Well, Mississippi hilly, which would be a welcome break from the climbs for some people.

It's now 2:24 AM here. Come tomorrow morning (which is actually today now,) I'm going to need a bzzzzz zap also. However, I am hiding the cattle prod right now. I sure don't want any Nibbs using it on me!

48 miles is a long ride. Hills or not. Have fun!

And with that, I am going to sleeeeeeeppppp........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Night!

Hi Nibbs - just woke up and Im hungry... going to grab a snack before heading back to bed to catch up on some more sleep...

What an exciting day I have planned!

Don't you have tour replays to watch? I am SO watching this one again. For the third time.

Just finished my 5k. and

Ate way too much sushi and have a wild Friday night planned. Monk and Psych are all shiny and new!

I have two weeks worth of highlights to watch but I need sleep.... I started reading the 5k race reports from today and wish I had the stamina to visit every single one...

Since i think Im giving up my bed and sleeping on the couch tonight Im now heading BACK to bed to try and get some more sleep..

The more I catch up on over the weekend... the better state I will be in at work this week!

Rest up then, Cat. We'll need you fresh and ready for the Alps

Im doing my best... trying to come up with evil plans to get my flattie to sleep on the couch while his father is here instead of me...

Only way it can be done is if I DONT watch the tour tonight....

Well that doesn't sound like an option Cadel is in yellow. There's NO WAY you're not watching

I already have the DVR set to tape.... there will be NO internet for me until IVe watched tomorrow if it comes to that...

This will be the first time in YEARS that Ive missed a live stage watching... shocking! Really hope I find a way but its not looking promising

x2. She has a TdF addiction even when Cadel's NOT in yellow. There's no way she's going to miss a stage when he IS. Cat - just sleep wherever the TV is. That way, you don't have to travel far to see the race! (Hm, if you could put a stash of potato chips and soda nearby, you could just hang out there until Monday morning. )

Thanks Dee - its 2.5 hours before the race start and the fact I dont have possession of the TV or tour watching on the agenda is ALREADY starting to stress me out...

Sooooo much so that Im wondering if i should call a mate and see if I can come over to watch tonight...

Do you think I have a problem?

Morning Nibbs!!  I'm been working on getting up early to practice for 4am tomorrow.  The only problem is that it's boring now.  My husband's still sleeping and I'm trying not to wake him up.

Hi Jen! Wow thats early!!!!!

Yes.  I have to catch a shuttle over to transition (about 2 miles away) and set up everything except my bike and be out by 5:45.  Then it's another mile walk to swim start because that's a point to point swim with the current.

On the plus side, since my swim wave starts at 6:23, I figure I should be done before 10:30 (at least that's my goal).

True.  I'm so glad I'm in an early swim wave.  Pros go off at 6 and I'm in wave 12.  There are a total of 37 swim waves and the last leaves around 8.  Can you imagine?  You have to  be out of transition by 5:45 and then don't start until 8?

Wow!  That's a BIG race with all those swim waves.  I can't imagine getting up that early to set up transition then waiting hours for the wave start.

Morning - or almost afternoon - Nibbs!

Love the s&p shakers, Jen! Very cute.

Cat -hope you figured out how to watch in bed...I watched some coverage this morning over breakfast, but then hit the bike myself before it got too steamy here. (Shhh. Don't tell me anything - I'll watch the replays.)

Ready for tomorrow, Judi? Is there a little BT meet & greet going to happen? I think there's like 15 of us racing - I know Nicole (mdhillslug) and you, but I don't think I know anyone else on sight.

I'll post up my # after I get my packet.

Mornin' Nibbs.  At least it's still morning here.

Mooch and me just finished a hilly 48 miler (and I reiterate, Mississippi hilly).  Kind of crazy that the ride started at 73 degrees (ahhh... nice) and by mile 40 it was 93.  Ugh.

Good luck on your races tomorrow, everyone!  And Jen, don't blink or you'll miss your swim  I hear the NYC swim leg is the fastest anywhere.

That's what they said during briefing.  There are NO swim warmups.  Last year (or two years ago?) a pro insisted on doing a warmup and never made it back to the start on his own.  Had to get a kayak to bring him back up.

Haha... I guess when some people can float faster than they normally swim, who needs to warm up.

Have fun, and I can't wait for your RR.  The NYC is one I have my eye on in the future.
