Veteran 478 Hoosier heartland | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Hey guys! Had my ear tubes put in and everything went well. Anesthetic was quite nice and I woke up relaxed and ready to go home. Other than my ears feeling a bit sore, Doctor said I can actually swim tomorrow with ear plugs! Not sure if I'm going to do any workout today, Ill "play it by ear" and see how I feel later...ba dum bump. Yanti, any cute piglets down under? |

Oh. Em. Gee. LAND O' PIGLETS. I seriously have been walking up to random hot piglets and giving them hugs and kisses. Nobody has protested so far. Far from it. So delicious. Met some BT piglets tonight for dinner and ate bunny. Mmmm ... bunny. It's like Australia's vermin, so basically, I came to their fine country and ate sewer rat. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Quick update on myself. Due to calf injury on Sat morning, i decided on Sunday to do some weight training with my 2 ultra fit sons (hands off Yanti). Big mistake. They came to see me from Lincoln and we went to my local gym. They were working on their chest and i worked with them, after all i did used to weight train myself some 20 years ago. I was sensible and reduced the weights when it was my turn and enjoyed the session. It wasn't until that night that the pain kicked in and i couldn't sleep. The following morning i couldn't even put my jacket on for work. By Tuesday new pain kicked in around my shoulders that had been previously masked by the agony of my triceps. No sleep again. To cut a long story short, it is now Friday AM and i have had my first nights sleep. My triceps still feel as though someone has just punched them, but this is bliss compared to the rest of the week. I haven't been able to do any training at all due to the grief and i run my 1st ever 10k on Sunday (which is 40% longer than any distance i have ever run). Was buzzing about it until last weekend, but now i am totally scared of how its going to turn out due to lack of anything useful. Good news is that my calf is no longer sore, so at least my legs might work for a bit. Whinge over. Sympathy anyone? |

Don't worry about not running this week as nothing you do the week before a race will actually make a difference in the race. So, your performance tomorrow will really be based on what you did 2,3,4 etc weeks ago. Just remember to have fun and make sure to smile as you cross the finish line! |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Do we need Yanti's number to track her? I think that it's 1427. Here's the website with the countdown to start... I'm not sure what site will have athlete tracking. Yes, I did click the Live Race Day Coverage link but I did not see athlete tracking there. I probably missed it. Edited by jmkizer 2012-03-23 8:51 AM |

Here's the link for Ironman live. When they start streaming, this page should have a link to the live feed. It sometimes cuts out, but just reload if that happens. We should be able to track her progress with live athlete tracker. Her number is 1427.
GO YANTI !!! |

Master 1332 Vista, CA | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Good luck on your 10K, Allen!! No .....more....weight .....training.....until it's over. You don't want any delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) when you run.
Have fun, too!! |
