So I went surfing yesterday with two of my oldest friends. While we were walking out of the water both of them got stung by sting rays. So being that they are my oldest friends I helped them out of the water then laughed. They had to sit at the life guards station for over an hour soaking their foot in hot water to help with the immense pain.  We were going to make the 15 min drive from the beach to my buddy’s house to have them soak their feet in the hot tub. Well I am already having fun at their expense when we got into my car and the song playing on the radio is the one that goes “It was the worst pain I ever had” They started to yell at me to change the station so of course I turned it up and laughed out loud the whole drive.

I love hanging out with old friends.

When did you pee on them?

i work for a german company.

the guy sitting next to me just said that he doesn't want to use materials that weren't made by American companies.  when i said "these Dow products are probably not made in the US" he said "yeah but the profit shows up in the US and that's what matters to me."

does he realize that our company is traded on the European stock exchange and all of our profits go to Germany?  wtf??

You mean Germany is not a U.S. territory? Didn't the U.S. win 2nd WW? Isn't Dow part of the Dow Jones Industrial Average? Maybe he is smarter than we think. Which is not difficult because we think he's a moron.

Haha, this is all in reference to a product that is being sold to...a German company.

Peeing is for Jellyfish sting but that is actually untrue but for a stingray it’s the hottest water you can tolerate for 3-4 hours.

That was back at the house, before they decided to go surfing.

I think the surgery went well...I'll find out for sure on Tuesday.  Feeling ok, tired from waking up at 11, 1, 3, and 7 to take meds, but the pain is ok.  Worst thing so far has been a nasty case of hiccups that comes anf goes at will.

Peso from "Octonauts" says vinegar works best for Jelly fish stings.  It worked for Capt Barnacles.

Funny.

I was in the airport the other day and I saw a piggy-bank that said "Don't Mess with Texas!" and right next to that was a sticker on the piggy bank that said "Made in China."

Irony funny.

Dinner was perfect. TACOS! Every ingredient was organic/vegan/gluten free. Delicious. He had me inspect each package before he cooked with it to make sure it was okay for me. Rice, lentils, tortillas, veggies, homemade guac, chips, cocktails... yum.

There seemed to be no complaints otherwise Sealed

I think one thing I like about TAN is a higher than average concentration of engineers than the general population. Not all engineers like the lab, where I work. That turns out to be deadly dull. Just two or three times more engineers than average for the country. It seems about right.

i love the general nerdiness around these parts.  this morning NPR was interviewing neil degrasse tyson, asking him to discuss the feasibility of different gadgets james bond used.  it was...brilliant.
