Share the pictures of the Costumes!!! Didn't you dress as a cyclist who took a gnarly crash last year?

Great picture. It looks like a lot of fun.  BUT WHY AREN'T YOU RUNNING?!?!!

I too had a fun weekend.  We hosted our 5th annual adult costume halloween party. The theme this year was Heroes and Villains.  There was a very drunk, 60+ year old tooth fairy, Captain Underpants (complete with skid marks), Lex Luthor, a sub-prime mortgage lender, and a pair of deviled eggs.  It was a lot of fun.

Doing Shamrock 1/2 in Virginia Beach in March and still debating on which full to do.  Either MCM or Wineglass in NY.

What did you wear to the party?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I was too pooped from all my racing to give my costume much thought this year.  I took the easy way out and sported a Dara Torres swim cap with my bathing suit.  She certainly is my hero!  After watching her performance both in and out of the water at the last olympics I think  she is a very classy lady.  And not too shabby looking either

I'm afraid she would beat me up.

THAT MIGHT NOT BE A BAD THING - IF YOU'RE INTO THAT SORT OF THING

You have been haning around Steve too much you are typing all in caps too : )

Oh yeah with this page we are now tied with the highest page count group.  Not that it matters really but always cool, this is such a great group.

Really hoping my computrainer comes tonight, I just printed off about 500 pages of documentation for it.

Someone in that other group 2008-10-27 10:48 AM

Looks like our little layoff allowed other groups to catch up.  I also took some time off.  Was a bit burnt out from going from Feb to Aug.  I was spent after my Oly in August.  I started back up again.  Hope eveyone is done well.  Congrats to our 2 Marathon finishers this weekend.  Great job.

Now they're just posting for the sake of posting - it's a little sad really.

And yes I was the roadkill biker at my party last year. I think I posted that photo for you guys. If not it is also posted on the GIRLS OF BT thread.  I have put out the call for photos from my friends. Wouldn't you know it my camera battery had died and I lost the charger.

Todays group sounds more like a Friday afternoon group when you are all tired of working.
Tracy hope you are able to find a pic for us poor deprived guys.
Looks like my week is going to be filled again with training and looking for work. It's all so tiring. Work out ... have a nap ....look for work ... have a nap ... watch some tv then have a pre-bedtime nap. Wouldn't want to go to bed tired now would I.
Actually I have got a lot of jobs accomplished around the house that had been put off for a long time.
Now so that this is a qualifying thread I should put something in about tri's. I have hung up my bike for the winter. If we get really good weather I could pull it down very quickly but I think most of my trainng will now be indoors and as I don't have a compu trainer it will have to be a stationary bike at the club.

Well my Computrainer came today but the guy forgot to send me the 3 cables for cadence, HR and actually connecting it to the PC, he is sending those tomorrow now.  It was so cold and rainy here today I thought it might snow, I can't wait to get this thing up and running.

I can't tell you yet how much I got it for until I have everything in my hands and I see it works, I am very superstitious, if I say something now it won't work or something like that...

I hear you on hanging up the bike.  It gets dark so early and its only going to be earlier starting next week.  I'll be going to spin class and mountain biking (at night, what a rush!!) for the 'off season'.

One of those days...

I go in 1 hour early stay an hour late because I am picking up 80 percent of the caseload of one of my fellow workers for a year or 2 while they get around to hiring someone to replace her (no extra pay mind you and he gets pissy with me for askin for 60 min of a late start on Wed am as comp time for working early on Monday).

So my boss comes in for 30 min just to chew me out because someone who I work with who I have no administrative power over whatsoever didn't check a box on a form 10 months ago. Now granted I was doing like 400 hours of work at the other end of the county at that time to keep us out of court because another 2 colleges had pissed off a borderline personality disorder parent and I was driving 200 miles weekly to keep her, her brat kid and the overly involved administrator happy and keep the just plane nasty incompetant chronically irresponsible teacher out of trouble. At the same time I was increadibly I'll and only able to eat crackers and flat ginger ale for 6 weeks and well I think I was at the meeting, but the box was not checked...until like a week later when she met with the parent.

But I should have known and it is all my fault and if he is going to have to make excuses for it, to the underqualified superintendant they hired over him, which he is not, he will make sure that I get a good chewing over it... well a 2nd chewing. Granted I am going to be working on my own time to get a special eval done on this kid in 2 days to make it all good or less bad, but I am sure that doesn't count for anything. It's not like I don't have 10 other evals in line before him due in the next 2 weeks. So he hadn't been in the office in like a week, came in 30 min special to give me what for and then was gone again. I guess I made his top 10 list.

K so I put in my 10 hours for my 7 hours pay and head home... to find that my son has thrashed the house, stuff thrown everywhere, tables and chit thrown over on the floor, no new holes in the wall yet that I have found, but the plaster is bearly dry on the last 3 and I still have to sand them down. Wife probly pissed him off about something like asked him to hang up his coat rather than throwing it on the ground or stop yelling at the 3 year old or some such.

First time I have sworn at any of my children in my life, never even told them to shutup before. Oldest is almost 17.

Been hobbling around all day, sore from Saturday's run. The 5k job last night didn't loosen them up at all. So I can't even go for a run, 22 miles would be about right for tonight if my body could take it....

Been one of those days. ......

Thanks for the ear.

Oh I nearly forgot, legal conference on Wed. I'll be sharing a room with my bos to save money on Tuesday night yay. Need to buy some rap music or something to play to help me fall asleep at 2am....

Thanks. I know it is better than job hunting Rob, but sometimes it makes ya wonder that an employer can't just, I don't know, appreciate some portion of what you do for them. Ya know like ok in 8 years 1 box was missed on one form out of how many 100,000's and it will have no impact on us and I was not presant when it was missed. Ya just go and say, you singed this, but I forgot to have you check this box, would you mind doing it now? Problem solved.

Anyway I am a School Psychologist, Program Specialist, Clinical Psychologist, Behavior Intervention Case Manager and I supervise interns in School Psych, Clinical Psych, and oversee 16 schools and programs, coordinate all testing for all special education students with all the special education teachers at each location and personaly test any student suspected of having any problem in addition to providing counseling services, crisis intervention, safety evaluations, emotional disturbance evaluations, multiple consulting roles in the community (as part of my job) and train every staff member in our county in Crissis Prevention (8-12 hours program per location) every year. Other duties as assigned include coordinating instruction in Autism training, writing all behavior plans, writing policy, quality assurance, assuring all programs are running as designed for each student. Oh there is more to it, but that is the basic dance.

On a positve note, I am walking a little less like Frankenstien today, should probably be up to my regular walk speed by tomorrow and gtg for regular workouts by Thursday or Friday.

If it's your first boy then don't forget the fire extinguisher and probably pick up some kind of repair kit for all the stuff he is going to break,  if you allready have a boy then you should have this stuff as standard gear.

A visit to the hospital to pick up the "advanced" first aid kit should also be on your list of things to do
