Seriously. That Spring Berry one really is so lovely I just want to lick it. Like a forlorn dog. frog And there is the first post in the poptarn porn thread... Fixed that for you Fanx. Does that now mean that Yanti also likes to lick frogs? Either works well in my mind. Edited by ukweeble 2012-05-05 1:47 AM |

That is a work of art, however i think i could improve upon it's design even more, by inventing pedals for it. |

Woo hoo! HAVEN'T YOU FORGOT SOMEONE JANYNE?? I THOUGHT JMKIZER (whoever she is) HAD SOME SORT OF RAMBLE GOING OFF ON SUNDAY? It's not really a race. It's, well, more ramble-ish but it is 100+ miles of rambling. i lay in bed this morning and thought about doing a 120 mile bike ride. Then i thought how stupid that was. it would take me 10 hours (at least) and i would not be able to walk for 2 days (at least). I then get up and log on only to find some other idiot is actually going to do it for real. I doff my cap to you lady, and wish you the very best. Edited by ukweeble 2012-05-05 1:48 AM |

Although i have no personal experience with hangovers , I hear that a hard work out actually helps. If you have double vision during a ride, that counts as 2 workouts. |

Man, I haven't had a pop tart in a long time, I'm gonna have to go get some as all this talk is making me want one. Or some. Can you eat just one? They come in packages of 2 right? You would have to eat both, or how would you keep the other fresh? Must investigate. |

Veteran 478 Hoosier heartland | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD Good news, I finished my HM today! Bad news, I didn't PR. But, I'm not disappointed. I kind of knew that it was going to be a stretch to run the race I wanted, but sometimes you have to take what you can get. I think being sick this week took it's toll on me, but overall I did alright. 1:54:17 was my chip time. WARNING TMI: I have to share this with my fellow Manatees because I know you'll appreciate the grotesque nature of what happened to me during the race. O.k., so I did my normal bathroom thing before the race like everyone else. I'm feeling good at the start, ready to go. Once the race started, it was at around mile 3 when I started taking in some fluids. At mile 5, I took in more fluids and I literally (I kid you not) involuntarily peed. It just came out! Well, no one noticed because with all the sweating and sprinklers, everyone was wet. But here's the weird thing. EVERY time I would take in fluids, I peed. The other weird thing, is, it's not like I had the urge to go, it just would come out. I guess at some point I could have just found a port o potty, but I honestly didn't care at that point because I was already soaked. This has never happened before, so either my bladder is getting old or I was so over hydrated that I was gonna pee no matter where I was. I guess I'm glad I didn't poop my pants, but geesh, now I might as well be in the club of: Those people who soil themselves during races.

Congrats on finishing after a less than ideal taper week. I think I would have done the same as you, just kept on going. If it was going to happen, it likely would have portapotty or not! Still not sure I can pee on the bike though... Take it easy for a bit, let your body recover. |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Mentor Group - FULL POD I have a swim question for you, Yanti. I saw a reply you gave to someone about the pull. You gave the analogy about lifting yourself out of the pool with straight arms vs bent. I get that you have more strength with a bent elbow, but could you describe how much to bend your elbow? Is it 'better' to focus on bending at the wrist to push water behind you, and your elbow position will follow? So much to think about!! Thanks. |
