According to BMI, I"m overweight..... and  I've got at most 10% body fat right now.

This guy may leave around 3 today.  Worked through lunch and it IS Friday.  I want to hit the local home brewers store (after reading the other threads) and browse.

I have also been browsing online for a good first pistola...  I also found a fun looking tactical pump action 12 guage Mossberg for 500 clams.  That would be coolio...  But totally not needed.

I am 1 number OVER the number for being obese.  So I am on my way to SUPER OBESE!

See.. that's how flawed the thing is!

Before I stopped lifting heavy, I was 15 lbs from being "obese". At the rate I was building, I would have been there in like 4 months.

I have a large frame, dense muscle and big bewbs .. surely that accounts for "extra" poundage that is not going to be figured in to a "how tall are you how much do you weigh" scenario.  I know that I am not obese.

I think that the big bewbs is all the waiver needed

But yeah, the frame and muscles are what really hoses up BMI.  It is really only useful for shaming those that are horrendously out of shape.   In the Navy, I was stationed with a guy that was a semi-professional body builder, and every single year they'd have to do a waiver for him on the fitness tests because his BMI had him failing as morbidly obese.

I ignore BMI. I don't need to worry about yet another number. I will never be svelte...I am sturdy.

If you haven't seen John Carter yet...

Save yourself the trouble and the 2.25 hrs you will loose.  Blech.  I even fast forwarded through some of the nonsense/dialogue just to get to some of the mediocre action scenes.

Heard/read positives and negatives, but certainly not enough positives to make me try it. And FF??? Was the 2.25 hrs before or after? :/

BTW, I know BMI is crap.  But I'm not really built or large framed.  I did body composition calculations, and based on that, I really should be 210-220 to get to 15% BF.  That would also put me in the high-normal on the BMI chart.  So it actually sort of works for me.

But to get to low-normal I would need to be something like 175 at 6'7".  Now THAT is just ridiculous.

before...  When I realized how bored I was during, I called an audible.  I had invested enough to see how it played out, but was going to waste as little time possible dealing with the marriage scenes and boring dialogue.

Yeah .. you'd be a skeleton at that weight.  The HIGH end of the normal range for me puts me at a weight that I wouldn't be able to maintain with this much muscle.  No way.   I have no desire to have low body fat or be cut or "shredded".  I am curvy and strong and soft in the right places and wish to keep it that way!
