Good morning Ghoulies!

Sorry I was MIA yesterday. I only had about 2.5 hours sleep Tuesday night, I was just dead tired yesterday. After work I pretty much did nothing yesterday. Keri slept until about 8:30. I got her some breakfast, then she went down the road to grandma's, they were doing corn yesterday (cooking/cutting/bagging/freezing). When the kids were done they came home and we pretty much just laid around yesterday and didn't do much. Keri and I watched a movie in my bedroom and we both fell asleep. Caleb just watched some videos on my laptop. We was tired. Everyone was in bed by 9:00 last night, too.

Hey Ann. Rest is a very good thing and you all have been holding life by the tail for a while now. Gear up, it is time for the weekend!

I have a staff meeting up the road about an hour. That is the bad news, the good news is that I am getting my bushel of peaches. Tonight will be peach scented here at the Gables. (A co-worker raises peaches on his family farm so he is bringing them to me. His price is better than others and the peaches are tastier, too. It works out for him cause I'll buy his lunch as a "shipping and handling" fee )

It is a sleepy rainy day here. Donnie had to wake Caleb at 7:30 this morning to tell him he was leaving for work. He left a not for the kiddos on the refrigerator telling them to call grandma when they were both up and she'd come get them so they didn't have to ride their bikes or the 4-wheelers to her house in the rain. Caleb called me, he's up, but Keri is still sleeping. I told him not to wake her.

Short day for me today, I'm only here for 5.5 hours. Going home, feeding the kiddos, showering, and this afternoon we are going 1.5 hours away to see a show at a big theater with most of my husband's family, some of their extended families, and my parents. Yea me. :-/

We are going to a theater called Sight and Sound to see Noah. I saw it before, years ago. They do put on a spectacular show, I told the kids there will be horses and other animals walking down the aisle beside us. It's just not really my thing.

It sounds pretty good. Watch your kids faces instead of the show. Or..... take your pad and go to the lobby and read a good book. You can say you didn't feel well and had to be near the bathroom.

I have to go to the doc this am. I am going to head for a swim before, if I can get a couple of work things done. I guess that means I need to start doing them, eh?

I think you were the smart one. Buffets like that are over priced and cause you to over eat. We rarely go to anything like that either because we don't get our moneys worth. Good call.

I am off to get my head wet in the pool and go to the doctor.

Yeah, I'm trying to eat better, paying for an overpriced buffet is not on my list of things to do.

Hello Ghoulies!!! 

I am back from vacation.  We had a really good time.  Enjoyed the touristy things and visiting with cousins.  Dog sitter worked out great.  She would text us about once a day.  Even texted a couple of pics.  When we got home it is obvious that the dogs are happy and doing well.  They were happy to see us, but are relaxed and well.  So good to see!

I will catch up with the thread in a bit.  Hope everyone is doing well.

Yard work,  5K run, boat tie up, cutting up peaches, road bike, mountain bike and some more yard work on tap for this weekend. Let's see what I can get done.  aaaaannnnnnddddd..... GO!

Hello Ghoulies!  Just checking in.  Vacation plans changed.  My SIL's grandfather passed away, so they headed here to GA for the funeral.  I have had all four kids here since Friday, while the parents are in south GA.  I am worn out.  Sat we were at the pool for 4 hours, and today for 3 hours.  Plus the neighbor boys were here so I really had 6 kids, not 4.  This grandma is tired.  I have had quite the workout.

Tomorrow we are going to LegoLand Discovery Zone and will get the grandkids their birthday presents for this year.  Since we don't really get to be with them on their birthdays, we do a surprise birthday for all of them together.  Last year it was at Thanksgiving, this year it will be TOMORROW and they don't know it yet.  

Their parents will be here tomorrow evening and they they will all leave here on Tuesday.  

So since our vacation plans changed, we have enjoyed our time with the grandkids, but have time on our hands after they leave, so we are going to Hilton Head for three nights.  Woot!  I get to go to the beach.

Not too much happened this weekend, I was on call so I was tied pretty close to the house and my phone.

I normally do the Nike+ trainer on the xbox Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun. Caleb does it Tues, Thur, Sat.  When he does it I'm down there with him giving some encouragment, telling him during different drills how much time is left, like if he's dong mountain climbers or burpees and can't see the timer. So on Saturday we both were doing it. He went first. When he was done he want to grab a shower. It took me a few minutes to get switched over to my account. I was just finishing up the warm up when he came back downstairs. He sat down there and gave encouragement and would tell me how much longer I had to go during some of the drills. He's a good kid.

Taking Keri to a pitching clinic tonight, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Either Thursday or Friday evening we will do some back to school shopping. I'll be away all day on Saturday at a kayaking class. Not sure if I'll go on the kayaking trip open to everyone on Sunday or not. It depends on how me and my shoulder feel after 8 yours of kayaking on Saturday.

Sorry to hear about your SIL's grandfather.

Glad you got to spend time with the grandkids. Isn't the best part about being the grandparent the part where you get to give them back to the parents?

Happy shopping. Having an oven that keeps temperature is pretty important- especially for my once a year turkey

There are so many bells and whistles on appliances now. And they all beep. If you change the temperature, it beeps, if you turn it on, it beeps, if you turn the light on, it beeps. I really don't need a BEEP to tell me that the light is on. I can figure that out myself.
