Good morning.

Anyone know how to get kids to stay in bed longer? It was 5:30AM this morning, and my 2.5 year old insists on waking everyone up.

1. Drugs are not an option.

2. Strapping him to the bed will only make him wail longer and louder.

3. Putting him to bed later the previous night makes him wake up EARLIER.

4. Putting him to bed earlier is not an option.

Run them to exhaustion   (warning:  You may reach exhaustion before they do)

honestly, it's tough.  My 4 year old went through the same thing and still does on occasion.  I usually put him back in bed with my wife and he falls back to sleep.

Morning TAN.  I forgot to eat breakfast this morning.  Should probably eat something before lunch, but I have no idea what I want to eat.  McDonald's doesn't seem like a very good option.

Morning TAN.  Just dropping a quick line to say I'm back from up North.  Tons of catch up to do in the office.

Very quick trip summary.  Banff is absolutely beautiful.  The area is just gorgeous.  We were at a place called The Banff Centre (yes that is the right spelling for up there).  Anyway, we came out of the theatre (where they were showing the films for the festival) one morning and there were two adolescent elk feeding all of about 20 yards away!!!!!  Got a bad camera phone shot of them.

Anyway, we went up to the top of one of the mountains on a gondola one day and while we were up there a bald eagle went flying overhead.  Then when we got back to the Centre there were three Mule Deer does eating on the side of the hill right next to our building.  Finally, as we were leaving on Monday morning, there was a huge herd of elk, at least 70 strong, on the side of the road in a field.

All in all, it was just a beautiful experience.  I want to go back for a real vacation that I'm not spending most of the day in a theatre watching movies.

Oh, and I didn't do the run.  Ankle is still pretty sore and big and thought it wasn't worth risking more damage for just a fun race that I had no emotional stock in.

Morning TAN.

Set a new PR on man push ups today! Yay!

Forgot to eat dinner last night b/c I was reading The Princess Bride and just got caught up in it...so my dinner was a cappuccino...which does NOT work well at spin the next morning.  Oops.  But...I finished the book.  Holy rock my world...=)  If you haven't read the book DO IT.  =)

Morning TAN!

I just finished Wicked (again) and I need a new book.  I think I will read The Princess Bride.  I loved the movie and I always prefer the book to a movie so chances are, I'll like it.  Kiley, can I borrow yours?

Also...anyone ever put hydrogen peroxide on a canker sore???

And anyone read Ender's Game ever?

Neosporin (sp?).  Yes, inside your mouth.  It will be gone in 2 days.
