Spokes - 2008-10-27 8:28 PM BTW, like my new avatar?
I do-I almost said something but I-as usual-became sidetracked.

My meds have worn off so I stray easily.

My new ones are working great. I am SO much more focused and even. 1500 mg of Depakote daily. Apparently it works well for migraines too.

I don't know if Beth saw my comment that during the fireworks show Friday night, Tinkerbell not only came out more than once, she flew all OVER the place. Apparently in the 1970s, she'd just fly across once and that was it.

ooooh-I was on depakote for years-I really liked that it cut out my migraines and helped me sleep-I didn't have nearly as many strange dreams waking me up all the time.

I discovered that depakote was having an interesting side effect and I decided to come off it.  Turns out that it affected my libido-but not in the typical way.  I had a hard time focusing on much-besides the good looking guys-and wasn't good at keeping my friendship with my guy friend at the friendship stage.  I was good at the whole FWB thing.  It is a good thing that I only had one guy friend at the time.  Scratch that-there was an ExBF as well.

I have about 1000 500mg ER tablets stashed in my pharmaceutical drawer-maybe when I get married...

There is a whole series of books about the Fairies of Never Never Land.  I think that they are by Gail Carson Levine.  She is the gal who wrote Ella Enchanted.

givemashot - 2008-10-27 5:53 PM guess what? I bought a wetsuit! Or i guess I should say, my hubby bought me a wetsuit. After I drove him past the shop, and told him what a great deal we could get on a used wetsuit, if only he would go and wait in line, on a certain day/time.

Congrats!  I suppose Utah Lake is a little too chilly to swim in...or maybe too algae infested...

Ewwww. Who would WANT to swim in Utah Lake?  blech.

It's not raining here, but it is chilly.  I left for work around 9:30 and it was 40 degrees.

FYI: having to herd cats in your bedroom for the day so the carpet cleaners can come in is not a fun project when it is very painful to walk up and down the stairs.  Especially because I have wiley kitties.

triguynewbie - 2008-10-27 7:53 PM How was Mt Rainier Melissa?

It was awesome.  The weather was perfect.  I don't have much as far as pics go-I forgot to grab the lithium ion batteries and regular batteries don't care for the cold.  I got about 3 pictures before my camera gave up on me.

That sounds awesome Melissa!

My sister lives in Enumclaw.  Every year my BIL and his kids climb one of the mountains.  My son and I flew out about 3 years ago and climbed Adams with them.  I'm trying to see if we (my daughter and I) can swing a trip in June to climb Rainier...

As much as I would like to linger, I am going to head to bed. I am hoping to manage eight hours of sleep tonight-and not be late for school in the morning.

Have a great night and a great Tuesday Nibblets. I'll see y'all later.

That reminds me-I use 'y'all' a lot, both in person and online. I am now sitting next to a gal from Texas-My 'y'all' is definitely inferior to the real thing.

We use that quite a bit here in Fl.

Do y'all have an accent down there?

Yeah but not quite as strong a southern accent as some of our neighboring states.

I have a question-do seattlites/washingtonians have a noticeable accent. And can people tell when they have an accent, or does everyone else sound funny to them.

I haven't noticed one.  Of course, most of the people I know in Seattle are 'transplants.'
