I a going to consintrate on bike and swim...will still run, but not sure how much. I posted my 15Krace report in my logs...kinda long. Pick another sport--you can still play! |

Any ideas on how to entertain myself for that lovely session?? im gonna go with singing old commercial jingles. i can see the look on the peoples faces as they watch you aquajog while singing. "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is." or "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun." Edited by snaps10 2007-01-31 8:10 PM |

Any ideas on how to entertain myself for that lovely session?? Top 10 ways to entertain while Aqua jogging / more for other people to be entertained than yourself...LOL With over 2 hours of swim time...you can get them all in. These can also be used to guarantee you have the pool all to yourself. 10) Snaps / commercial jingles 9) read a book - this will work extra muscles as you try to keep the book dry. 8) Sing the YMCA song while doing the letters in the water 7) 99 bottles of beer on the wall....99 bottles of beer 6) Ask one of the lifeguards to keep track of your time and every minute or so ask him / her how long its been. 5) every once in a while....yell out "Toe Cramp" "Side stich" or "I'm going under" and see how many people gaze over. 4) Can you say "Solo sycronized swimming" give it a try! 3) instead of jogging aimlessly....pick a lane and ask the swimmer next to you if they wanna race. If they say NO, just say "Chicken...bawk,bawk" When they say yes, ask them if they wanna put some $$$ on it. P.S. get a head start 2) Run in a circle, after about 5 minutes...ask the other swimmers if they wanna help you make a whirlpool 1) If all else fails.....always remember. CEMENT SHOES!! Enjoy your workout! |

Veteran 190 Visalia, CA | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL aw, c'mon. thats like setting a race goal you know you can finish. if it weren't for the fact that you guys are watching my logs i'd probably skip half my workouts. ill just post my goals and try to hold them. 9 miles run 80 miles bike 1 hr weights plus 2 liters water and veggies it is so much harder to flake on your goals if you write them down. even harder if you write them were people will see. good luck to everyone this week. i really need to up my training, we added a few races for the season now. im up to 2 sprints (march and may) 2 olympic (july, august) 1 HIM (september) 1 "adventure race" (15.5 mile offroad run (rubicon trail) 52 mile bike), 1 time trail (march) |

Master 1573 Red Sox Nation | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL I've done pretty well doing my planned training this week. Except for the swim. But I've been promised that for tomorrow. 3 hour bike? Brick today, and maybe I can finish the bike out tonight. The 'Try Tri' will probably not happen as I have company coming in Thursday. But, she's on notice that she'll be sleeping in some mornings so I can do something. Necessary since the first thing we did was map out the restaurants we plan to hit. Oh, and I ate a sweet potato and a salad yesterday. Let's hear it for V-8! Good luck everyone! |

You are always welcome! I love having company on my rides. My little sister lives in Roseville (I think). Not sure how close that is to you but I was thinking of going up there to do a tri sometime this year or next. If it is close we can go for a ride up in your neck of the woods |
