well, with the 2.67 miles I did this morning I'm over half way done at the half way point. I may be upping my goal miles soon...

Looks like we're catching up!

I did 2.2 this morning.  Hill work or it would have been more miles.

I'm a bit slower when there are hills involved!

Gotta, Gotta, Gotta work those

 Running   H I L L S

Rattlesnake Powerman Duathlon (could they have come up with a more intimidating name???) coming up December 6th & it's all hills, all the time.

Hill workout are good even if your goal race is flat . Both on the bike and running.

Added another half hour effort this morning.  Easy pace , i am resisting the temptation to go longer or harder

this week as I want to save some  for my  10km sunday.

I logged my miles in this morning...noticed there's a column way off to the right telling me I'm well over 100%, which I'm not.  I think it's adding all of my %complete cells together???

Anyway, I managed to get my run on last night despite deciding to not do much between now and the 1/2 marathon on Sunday.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday!

GO MONSTERS!

GO MONSTERS!

That total % complete seems way off.  Cat told us to log our cumulative miles, which is what everyone seems to be doing.  It works out well until the final row.

This is EXACTLY why I don't create the spreadsheets for these challenges...

G'morning Monsters! How's everyone doing? I've been a bit lazy this week... a litte down on my run miles, and no biking or swimming at all yet this week (though the plan is to get at least a short swim done today...). I should still be on track to meet my goal for the month, though. Small local 5K race on tap for me tomorrow...

Have a great weekend, Monsters!!

Just wanted to say good luck to all this weekends' racers as well.

I'm going to be running a half marathon.  I'm also going to record my warmup (since I'm behind on my challenge for the last few days) since it is running afterall...so I may have 14 or 15 miles on Sunday.

Have a wonderful weekend monsters!

Good luck racers!

Did close to 11 miles this morning and will be doing 18 tomorrow morning. Sunday I'll be schlepping all over SF on my bike while my wife does the Nike Womens Half Marathon.

Good luck to those of you racing this weekend or just ticking the miles away.

Go Monsters!!!!

Go Monsters!!!!

A friend is running her own 1/2 course on Sunday in honor of the Nike Womens race and invited others to join her.  Pretty ambitious as she is setting out water etc.  She has a 3 mile and 10K course as well.  It's supposed to be a beautiful day so it should be lots of fun. Good luck to your wife!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hi everyone! Great job getting the miles in!!! I did a 2 mile run yesterday, and 3 miles today and the foot seems to be healing pretty good. I think the new shoes are helping along with the great suggestions from you guys. Thanks a bunch!

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!

Hey Monsters! I had to share my good fortune with you all!

First of all, ran in a local 5K this morning and came close, but didn't quite make it to breaking 25 min. Still pretty happy with my time, especially considering I've been doing minimal short-distance speedwork, and I'm coming down with a chest cold.....

But here's my BEST news.... Our church had their annual "Fall Fair" today - kind of like a Flea Market... people donate all kinds of stuff, and the church sells it to raise money. We happened to be there at the end of the day when they were trying to unload some of what was left for next to nothing. My purchase? A new-used treadmill! Picture below....

It's a Trotter CTX Plus. I saw the same model (also used) for sale on-line for > $4000. My price?? FIVE BUCKS!!! (and it even works!)

$5!!!!

You win the bargain of the year!!

My goal tonight:  40+ minute run after my 12-hour shift.  I've got pretty easy patients today, so I'll be working on being "lazy" at work & saving my legs for tonight.
