Got my peach today with a very hilly 10K race.  I did it last year in 1:21 and was dead last, although first in my age group. (Not many 50-54 women do this race!).  This year I did it in 1:22, but had two people finish behind me.  Hurrah!  I wasn't in last place.  But I dropped to second in my age group.  (Still not many 50-54 women doing this race!)

Of course, it isn't really a peach because it is green.

My peach was definitely worthy of having on ice cream.  I had a pain free run for the first time in 2 months.

Recovering from some torn hip flexors had me off running 10 days prior to a half mary and another 2 weeks after it.  I tried running last weekend and only managed a bit over 5K with pain starting at mile 2.5.  Today I had a twinge here and there but no consistent pain.

The PT must be working -- that's fantastic!!

I'm new to this BT site and I just now noticed the "inspire me" comments in the training log.  Wow!  You people really are amazing.  How nice is that to take the time to be encouraging, even more than on these challenge threads.  Someone even wrote to wish me luck on my race before I ran it.  Thanks so much!

Awesome job this week, everyone! I got my peach today with 2 hours of spin class and then I have my P90x workout tonight. I'm determined to get some strength and muscle definition this off season! 15 mile run tomorrow. I'll definitely earn that peach! Have a great weekend!

Wow, and I thought I was running long.... Strong work!

LeahDD- so happy to hear I am not the only 50-55 age grouper in this challenge.  My goal too is to keep at it since the numbers in this age group are small.  Nice job on your race today.

Queen Zipp- Great news on your pain free run today.

Keep PEACHY!!!  ;-)

LeahDD - 2008-12-06 2:35 PM What is a P90X workout?

It's a strength training program that's on a series of DVDs. Lots of upper body, core, ab work, etc. You are supposed to do it every day for 90 days to see results, but I do it modified and only do it about 4 days a week. Everything hurts (in a good way, I guess) once you are done with your workout. I hope that means it's working!

Good peachy day today! Got up this moring and did some swimming drills, rested in the whirlpool for about 15 minutes, then did my spin class.  Grabbed some lunch and headed out to the Baldwin Trail (old railroad track they paved over to make a 15 mile out and back bike track). Nice and cool today with little wind so it was a good day to get outside and ride.

Wow, quite a day -- nice!!

After my swim I cleaned house all day (barely made a dent) and am going to do Jorge's Q3 now while dinner's cooking.

Long day at work today, so only able to get in a 30 min walk outside at lunch time. A little peach is better than no peach at all.  Smile

OK, I will admit that I'm blonde...but I cant' figure out how to add my "peach minutes" to the spreadsheet! I put in my number of days, but when I put in my minutes, it becomes a percent. Help, please!

I fixed it, you can add your minutes now There was a formula in this particular cell, not sure why.

It seems to work now -- don't know what was in the cell before.  I'm using openoffice software now, not Windows, and I haven't figured out all the spreadsheet stuff yet.

eta: nm, looks like it was already fixed ^^^

Plan today is a good long (for me) swim and a short run.  This will be my 1st trail run in much too long -- can't wait!

Sassyl, says on the spreadsheet that that person has done 8 days. If I am wrong please correct me but we have only done 7 days this month correct? Please tell me if I am wrong! Keep it up everyone!!!

I got my peach today with a run in the morning, then in the afternoon I ran to the pool, swam 1.5km or so and ran back home

I swam my first 800 meters straight today, after three months in the pool. I am really happy. I was aiming 1km but I got a cramp while pushing from the wall after 800 Next time I will do it.

Have a great day everyone
