As an Ironman 70.3 Racine athlete, we are offering you a complimentary case of the new Ironman PERFORM sports drink to utilize during training. It should be arriving at your home by June 11. We want you to begin using this product in preparation for race day and would also like to offer you an exclusive discount, beginning June 8, available at both www.PowerBar.com and www.ShopIronman.com for purchase of additional product. I got it too!!!! YAAA!!! I just hope, you know, living in the big city and all, that when I get mine delivered, that I actually get my hands on it and someone doesn't walk by and see it sitting in front of my house and swipe it!!! |

I did 41 miles of the course on Sunday at 18.2 but it was before any wind kicked in, so I was thinking I'm a group B guy, but like you need to get places on Sunday afternoon. I'll keep you posted about doign the ride at a minimum bee down there to see everyone off. |

My primary concern with it just out of the box is that it doesn't contain the full electrolyte profile so you'd still need to get Ca and Mg from somewhere since this drink only contains Na and K. During a half IM the argument could be made that most athletes coming in under 5:30 could get by with only Na and K, but this drink labels itself as "Ironman" so 140.6mi only taking in only Na and K might prove a little troublesome for some athletes since we also burn through Ca and Mg like it's nobody's business in that timeframe on a hot day. Got mine today, Orange Mango. Pretty generous--12 8oz bottles. Steve, It has the typical sodium (190mg) and potassium (10mg) and also includes Magnesium (2%) per 8oz. No Ca. |
