I did a bit of stretching in the hot tub too. Now it is time to pay the bills...but I seem to be wandering bt instead. LOL! I'm doing the same thing myself right now... |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread yogachic - 2010-05-04 11:17 PM yogachic - 2010-05-04 4:54 PM I don't feel like swimming today Ok, I did it anyway. I don't know why, but I never actually WANT to swim. I always have to psyche myself up to get in the pool. But then when I'm swimming I enjoy it. I am exactly the same way. For me, I think there are 2 reasons. First, it's so much more of a pain to get to the pool than it is to run or bike. Just getting to the pool and back adds an extra hour for me and I hate having "wasted time" during the day. But for biking and running, I can just change my clothes and go. Second, I hate jumping into a cold pool. I hate being cold! Of course, once I get going, I want the pool colder. But I just dread that initial shock. |

Baby got hit by projectile vomit by another kid. Doctor said we will know in 5 to 7 days if he catches the bug. A friend of mine, who is like a dad, had a mild heartattack last night. He is stable right now but will be having surgery on Wednesday morning. I missed my Tuesday run. Ugh, what a crappy day! I hope your little one stays healthy and I hope your friend's surgery goes well. |

That was me yesterday afternoon...goggle marks on my cheeks for an hour or so. It's much easier to just change and take off running. My face is red when I'm done, but after a baby wipe/sink bath, I'm usually presentable again. |

Second, I hate jumping into a cold pool. I hate being cold! Of course, once I get going, I want the pool colder. But I just dread that initial shock. Yeah, I hate being cold. It sort of helps to take a cold shower before getting into the pool because then I look forward to jumping right in... But then I dread the cold shower even more, so that doesn't really change my not wanting to swim while I'm at work, haha. I think my saving graces are that I actually like swimming and feel great after, and I treat myself to the eucalyptus-smelling steam room after my swims. That usually convinces me to jump in the pool, but I really have to concentrate on those things otherwise I'm always tempted to skip the gym on swim days! Also, I think chlorine makes me sneezy because afterward sometimes my nostrils are just so itchy! That doesn't happen in OWS's so that's why I think it's the chlorine. |

I will keep you guys in my thoughts - for healing and health for the little one to not catch whatever the other one had. I might have to "virtually" join you for a drink tonight. Probably could use it. Last night - sucky 2.5 mile run. Tonight - bike & strength. |

Ok if I want to get anything done I must get moving! Chat it up ladies....the guys are ahead of us in the talking! That just can not happen! well it did - hahahaha!!! |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: Women's May Challenge Thread Got in a crummy run after work... I was so hungry when I got home that I scarfed down a handful of chips and salsa. Then I had to run a little earlier than I thought so my husband could go to basketball tonight. I don't know which was worse - the pollen making me wheeze or the food giving me cramps. The whole last mile I just kept repeating "Even a crappy run is better than NO run!" Oh, the ways I lie to myself... |
