I want in on this challenge. 237 this am. I would like to lose 25-30 lbs by the end of the year. I am signed up for IMTX and will be starting my official plan on Jan 1st for a May 21st race. I did IMAZ last Nov weighing 213. Pretty disgusted with myself for not doing a damn thing since the race. I need to get motivated!!!

Alright Greg!  First step is done - signing up for a big race...  I did the same thing, put back on almost 20 lb over the holidays..  it really sucks having to tred the same ground twice, but it is my own fault (stoopid donuts...)

You are not the only one with that story Greg, the past is the past, only use it for motivation. We are all in this together and we will drop these extra lbs to make racing much more enjoyable or at least go faster Laughing

Thanks for the reminder to weigh in- I think .  I'm still at 133- did a race this weekend though and slacked off on eating and working out for the few days after.  Back on track today- my BF was unchanged so I think it may be some water retention too post-race.

I am looking back to when I started again (after 2 injuries) in April and weight an insane 289. I am really working at this (not 100% but close).

I saw your RR - very nice race!  I am in kinda the same boat...  Race and then way overboard on food...   Now is the time for discipline for me!

My weight is all over the place. Back to working out for the past month after a long lay off. Only been really watching what I eat for the past week or so. Lost 4 lbs yesterday by eating right, drinking a ton of water, and running about 5 miles in the am and walking about 2 with my wife last night. Woke up this am feeling hung over. I guess my body is wondering where is the beer and mexican food.

I am right with you. I took a solid year off, and I have been back for about 6 weeks. I just finally started eating right since Sunday and my body has no idea what is going on. I would normally drink 100+ oz of pop a day and snack constantly and now am following weight watchers with my wife and I think turning my body inside out with such drastic changes.

Yep, several of us working at the same thing after making the same mistakes...  Good thing beer doesn't have any calories...

You were at the beach and only had two beers - I believe that is an infraction of the man-code....

I switched to guiness...I tried the miller 64 but I am confident it contains no alcohol and does not taste like beer at all.

Welcome to the group.  Eating  is  the weakness for  most of us here.  We weigh in officially on Mondays.  Good luck.

Got out for an early morning bike ride today, something I never do.  It was nice and cool, quiet with llittle traffic.  And it's only 8:30 and my workout for the day is done.  I'm usually not even out of bed this early.
I had a good week... got 7 workouts  done and even got to the pool 3 times.  Looking forward to next week..  Not sure I'll show any  weight loss  tomorrow but  I feel less flabby so something good is happening.

Fell off the wagon AGAIN last week. Went from 237 to 236. Oh well, a pound is a pound. Had a few decent workouts but did not excercise Thurs-thru Sat. Anyway, this is a new week and I will try to get in 5-6 workouts in and try to eat good for the entire week. I always cave when I am invited to dinner and everyone else is drinking and eating bad. I have to realize that everyone else is not going 140.6 miles on May 21st either. How did everyone else do?
