wgraves7582 - 2010-11-12 5:32 AM Like I figured - drank a pop and had a tootsie roll and I dropped to 177.7

Stupid bodies!!! LOL

So that's what it takes to lose weight. Do you think it was the pop or the tootsie roll? I'll start with the tootsie rolls and see if that works.

Hey everyone! I stepped on the scales and it went down again!  Woohoo! Still above my starting weight though. I'm at 199.8, which is out of the 200 range so I'm happy with that. Let's see.... If I keep going at this rate (quick calculation)... It will take 108 days to reach my goal. Hmm. That's not going to work. Better get busy and figure things out. I did make sure my lunch bag is filled with lots of fruits and veggies so maybe that will help. Oh, and there are a couple tootsie rolls in there too.

I weighed after breakfast this morning and was at 149.8 same as earlier in the week so after the week I have had I will take it. Need to see if I can keep shrinking that number. A week from tomorrow I head for my first 1/2 mary - good eating leading up to that wouldn't hurt.

Must harness the power to lose fat!!

The force is not strong in this one.

What a lame kinesiologist... At least I'm in the healthy weight zone I guess. Still on the chubby side of it. It's so hard to work in the health/fitness feild and not look like a fitness model because people judge much more harshly.

Maaan - I hit that 177 that I mentioned when we started. I'm +1 half a month into a 2 month weight loss challenge... I know it's just a flux, but I'm not doing well either way.

Morning all.  I did not weight today since I had  surgery yesterday and am still pretty swollen from iv fluids.  My hubby's birthday is this weekend too.  Need to make good choices, need to make good choices, need to make good choices....will keep repeating as needed.

One thing that helped me last year over the holidays was a "only on a plate" rule.  Anytime I wanted to eat something I had to put it on a plate to eat it.  No handfuls of chex party mix out of the bowl...or sneaking spoonfuls of cold stuffing out of the pan from the fridge.  The inconvenience of getting a plate did limit my snacking....except when I broke my own rule!

Thanks!   I think it is the post Halloween binge (candy and pizza) going away thanks to more balanced eating.

That is all I ever eat - 1 plate at a time - now when I go back for 2nd and 3rds well it is still just one plate

I give myself an annual Thanksgiving and Christmas bye - I luv Turkey and refuse to sacrafice!!!!

A good way to not splurge on T-Giving is to get invited for a miserable time to your sister-in-laws about 1 hour away. I'm half tempted to bring my running gear and just go for a 2 hour run.

Today started out pretty good on the food.  But then DH wanted to go do hamburgers & fries.  And then cornbread with the chili tonight.  I didn't go overboard but it wasn't what I had planned... especially on a rest day!

Sounds yummy though.  I was thinking about burgers but never got to the point of pulling the meat out of the freezer

Weigh in this morning was good. Down a little more to 199.2, which is still above where I started but its lower than a couple of days ago.

Eating habits not good today. They asked my wife to provide goodies for a snack table at the high school dance. So after a good breakfast, I have been sneaking treats all day. Plus it looks like we are going to have stuff left over after the dance. Lots of cookies, brownies, and rice krispie treats. I'm in trouble.

Wrap those leftovers up and put them in the frig or freezer.  Donate them to the lunch/break room at work or have the kids bring them to school later in the week.

Not a great day for me eating wise either. Hubby's birthday and lots of calories consumed.  I had surgery on Friday and have been "treating" myself with ice cream as well.  I think I need to declare myself healed and get back on track!!

After a stressful week of school and work and giving myself an easy week of training, I was expecting to have gained but surprisingly I'm down a pound to 143  I'm getting a lot better at not snacking for no reason and I've been using fruit for snacks between meals... seems to be working
