Subject: RE: Timberman - Half Iron : Official Threadvabeachnut1 - 2011-08-13 6:52 AM I try not to be overly concerned about things I cannot control, like the weather. Besides, 10 day forecasts are pretty useless. Personally, if it rains, so be it. It will just add to the challenge. I have done a local tri here in Norfolk during a tropical storm a few years back. I would prefer that to a 105 heat index. Went through this routine when I flew out for the Boston Marathon this spring...forecast was looking like rain for race day 10 days out, but it ended up being windy and dry for the marathon and raining the day after. OTOH, it's stupid to ignore forecasts when you're getting ready to pack for a cross country flight and a six-day stay in New England, with a HIM in the middle of it. Just sayin'... |
