Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge owl_girl - 2011-06-08 9:45 AM Today is my busy day. Swim, sauna, shower, yoga, lunch, nap time for 2 year old, short bike ride on the trainer, teach Spinning. Whew! I'm hoping to fit in park time at some point since it's supposed to be sunny and warm today. I guess it depends on the length of nap time. Hmmmm. I think I'll pack a lunch and eat at the park! That'll work! I love being a semi-stay-at-home mommy! Sounds like an awesome way to get some park time in! |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Holy cow, it's supposed to get up to 96 today! I hate to say it... but I think I'm going to have to stick with indoor dreadmill running today... Unless I wait until the sun goes down again. But I'm feeling sluggish today. I think I should get it in sooner rather than later. Before it just doesn't happen at all. |

It looks like I underestimated how much I would be swimming this month. Since I haven't been able to bike, I seem to have more desire to get in the water. Nevertheless, I can't wait to get back on the bike. I hope to get cleared this Thursday by my orthopedist.... fingers crossed! As for now, it looks like the guys are holding up the team. Come on ladies, get healthy and get in the water!!!!! I'M TRYING! Planned to swim this morning as I was feeling better yesterday, but woke up sneezing my nose off constantly for 20 minutes, and am still quite plugged up/can't breath through my nose at all... punctuated by frequent sneezing. Also - my parents arrive today for a week-long visit. That has nothing to do with the above, but is a good excuse for me to get out of the house every day and to the pool! |

Dreadmill is definitely the way to go. |

Master 1623 | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge James's birthday is Friday... also the first time I'll see him in about 2 weeks so I'm planning some surprises for him (friends are coming to visit and celebrate and he has no idea) I'm spending the rest of the afternoon cleaning and then tomorrow should start getting back to a normal training schedule which means getting back in the pool I'm going to swim and run tomorrow and bike and swim Friday. Saturday should be a run and sunday bike and maybe swim depending on when James leaves to go back home. I may try to swim Monday-Thursday next week as a personal challenge to myself... I need all the time in the pool I can get. Hope everyone's having a good week! I'm off to mop and clean up the kitchen. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Got a dreadmill run in this afternoon... As much as I dread the dreadmill, I would have died outside! We had some crazy storms come through after dinner though which at least cooled it off for the night. Supposed to be a hot one again tomorrow. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Hey guys. Sorry I've been a bit MIA. 54km run so far this month...my legs are angry. The switch from Alberta to BC is taking its toll on my legs...I live on the side of a gargantuan mountain and even my 'flat' runs are not flat. Bah! Hahaha. Was in Iowa last weekend to visit le boyfriend and do a tri down there. Back in Vancouver now and then back to the lovely flatness for 2 weeks in a week! Crazy! Haha. Hope everyone is having a good month! |

Master 1346 Gold Coast | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Hi All! Rhoda - you always sound so busy, I'm glad you are getting date night in! Yanti - yay for swimming (for you, I'm being empathetic because I realise you like swimming while we all know I would never say yay for swimming for myself....)! I ran 15k this morning, very poor considering I was up to 30+ a few weeks ago but it was pain free and my fracture seems to be healing nicely. I'm all taped up and off to the physio for some more LIPUS in a few minutes. Also, I am so excited, I found a 24hr tri in August and am entering as a team with a friend. Its 300m swim, 9k bike, 2k run. We will take turns doing laps and its going to be awesome! |
