He was mostly horrible today....geez.  Chicago absolutely sucked.  Tebow just sucked.  That game was hard to watch.

Denver is on a great roll, Tebow is a great guy.  Enjoy it.  The first part is over soon.  I'd love to be proven wrong....that's how much I think of Tebow as a person....but as an NFL QB?  Uh.......no.

OK here is a question for you:

Would you rather have Ryan Leaf talent (and work ethic) or Tim Tebow talent (and work ethic) on your team and who would win more regularly?

I admit he is not close to being even an unpolished qb yet much less polished but he just isn't going to disappear overnight.  Sure they lose this week to the Patriots most likely but they are winning out after that and making the playoffs because THE TEAM is playing well right along side him!

The team is carrying the work load to allow him to be good for short periods of time.  No player can suck consistently for 90 percent of the game and then think that they will constantly be able to make up for it the last 10%

Next season he starts 6 games, goes 1-5 gets benched and that is the last time that he has a permanent starting job. One trick ponies don’t stay successful in the NFL for too long, doesn’t matter how hard you pray and I would imagine that the lord has more important things to do and if he would watch sports it would be soccer, more followers there.

And yet game after game, Tebow is consistently produces a higher QB rating than the QB he plays against... and wins. Oh, and he usually rushes for 50 - 100 yards to boot. The "team" argument gets weaker with each passing week. The same team that sucked under Orton is winning with Tebow, even after they traded the team's best receiver. It's time to give the guy his due.

I truly think we're seeing history being made. I don't know what the future holds for Tebow, but people will still be talking about this amazing streak decades from now. This is the stuff of NFL legend.

I get the Tebow men crush, every heterosexual guy is entitle to one without having his man card revoked  Wink but to go as far amazing streak for decades and stuff of NFL legend is nuts.

Vince Young won 8 consecutive starts and where is he now?  Oh and by the way, he actually knew how to throw the ball.  My point is not really to compare one with the other, so no need to go into the work ethic, leadership, intangibles etc, but to point out that a winning streak doesn’t mean anything in the big scheme of things and that to appoint the guy as a legend is silly to say the least.

Not saying Tebow is a legend, saying the streak is the stuff of legend. It's not just the wins, it's HOW the games have been won.

As a side note, I'm not sure which I enjoy more-- watching Tebow win or seeing John Elway with that stupid fake smile on his face every time Tebow pulls another miracle out of his pocket.

Buckshot - 2011-12-11 5:00 PM He is on a great run and looks unbeatable.  Good for Denver.  Enjoy it as long as you can.

It was a great comeback but I don't know if I would go with unbeatable. If the Bears had a QB with a pulse there is a good chance that the deficit would have too great to overcome in the last 5 minutes. But I'm starting to wonder if the stars aligned for them with some of the breaks they are getting (Barber running out of bounds, Barber fumbling).

On a side note, the officiating this week was just terrible across the league. I don't know who else saw the 49er game but after that fake field goal, Mike Pereira put it best. "I've never seen an officiating sequence like that before and I hope I never do again."

Or Minnesota's QB face mask being ripped off on the last play near the goal line and no call.

I don't think Minnesota and QB belonged in the same sentence since Fran Tarkenton was under center.

I know you are a Packers fan so how about this deal between fans….My dolphins find a way to trade their first round pick to Denver for Tebow which Elways will definitely do, then we can trade the miracle man to the Packers for Rodgers.

You get to cheer on him while he wears your team colors and hurt your vocal cords with those constant 4th quarter comebacks…..What do you say Wink

So far he is 7-1 and with a full off-season to work with his coaching staff and trainers I would imagine he would be just fine next year.  The team will obviously have a much stronger schedule if they win the division but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

And what does get completely overlooked is the TEAM.... a QB can't win it all for you.. Just ask Elway. The team was dismantled by McDaniels and Fox was put in with no off season. So new coaching staff, new system, and no off season. The team as a whole is getting better every week and they will be better next year. If Tebow can get some foundation down, and the team can play as a team in all facets... then that takes pressure off Tebow just like Elway was always in the position of they win or loose by him.... now throw in the intangible... that they can win no matter how bad it looks... just like Elway had... then things can get interesting.

And before anyone tries to put words in my mouth... I am in no way comparing Tebows talent with Elways... just commenting on position.

I know you don't want to compare intangibles but you want to throw a guy out there that won 8 consecutive starts - doesn't make sense to me at all.

You can substitute Vince Young for my Ryan Leaf question earlier today.

I would take a less talented harder working player any day of the week over an exceptionally talented slacker!

Albery Haynesworth is just the start of many that I am sure we could list.

Tebow's work ethic, along with solid team play, gives him a shot.  And that is all he asked for - just give him a shot.  So far he is 7-1 and with a full off-season to work with his coaching staff and trainers I would imagine he would be just fine next year.  The team will obviously have a much stronger schedule if they win the division but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I simply said that the point of my comparison was to highlight that a winning streak of 6 games is no sign of greatness, and that it has done before by players currently holding a clipboard.

The problem with your question is, that you are not taking a slightly less talented player; you are taking a player that most High School QB throw better than him.  Yes, he is a hard worker we all know that, but hard work can compensate for lack of talent to a certain point.

I stand by my prediction, and anyone can bring back this thread in a year and if I’m wrong I will say it.  He won’t be starting by the end of next year and he won’t be a full time starting QB again.

So we all know what "won't be starting by the end of next year" means, but what does "won't be full time starting QB" mean? Is Michael Vick a full time starting QB? He's been benched for performance and for injury.

Full time  means being the number 1 QB in the team, the everyday starter.  You don’t lose the job for being out due to injury or performance related to your injury if the player is not back at 100%.

Did any one get to see the Tebow SNL skit....It was pretty funny

This what "jesus" tells him after the Bears game:

"First of all, you're welcome. Yes, I Jesus Christ, am indeed the reason you've won your past six football games," he says. "Here's the thing: If we're going to keep doing this, you guys gotta meet me halfway out there. Let's face it: It's not a good week if every week, I have to come in, drop everything, and bail out the Denver Broncos in the fourth quarter. I'm a busy guy."

Ya... and he said he was busy this week against the Pats.... too funny. I guess God only likes us on some week ends.

Can't say Tebow had a bad week or good. He did fumble, but the whole team lost that one. It was pretty much what I expected... just not how I expected it. I was hoping to see how they really looked against a good team... came out killing it for a change... who knew they could be exciting in the FIRST quarter. But ya, a bunch of mistakes and the Pats doing their thing not much of a suprise. Not quite ready for prime time... but not many actually belived the Broncos were. But I'm happy... we are definitely moving in the right direction and getting better.

Dissapointed that the Broncos lost but not with Tebow.  Actually, I knew when they scored first that they were doomed!

John Skelton is 4-1 as a starter and also led the Cardinals to a win over the 49ers after Kolb went down on the first drive of the game. In the other 8 games, the Cards are 2-6.

If winning is all that matters, where is his thread?

Like I said before, it ain't just the wins, it's HOW you win them.

That said, if he keeps it up, I'm sure we'll all be Skeltoning soon enough.

This thread started when Tebow was 4-1.

John Skelton is 4-1 as a starter and also led the Cardinals to a win over the 49ers after Kolb went down on the first drive of the game. In the other 8 games, the Cards are 2-6.

If winning is all that matters, where is his thread?

Well he also gets style points for HOW he looses them.  If they end up missing the playoffs due to that Bills game which even my pathetic dolphins were able to beat, he will be warming up the bench even sooner than what i predicted.

No doubt. Weird game against a weird Bills team that can't seem to decide if it wants to play or not on any given Sunday. Even with the INT's, I still see progress from Tebow every week in his throwing. He threw some beautiful out's early in that game. And that line gave him absolutely no time, from what I saw. Also don't understand why the one ball that was knocked out of Tebow's hand was ruled an INT when it was clearly a fumble.

Ah well, he's 6 - 2 and brought a team back from the dead to having a shot at the playoffs. I don't think he's getting benched anytime soon and even Elway seems to agree now.

Don't put the loss to the Bills solely on Tebow.  I'm not so sure that the Broncos coaching staff did their homework.  Then the defense sure didn't do a good enough job...they gave up too many big plays.  I don't often complain about officiating but really, the zebras helped Buffalo at some key points in the game.  And don't forget, Tebow did manage to beat your pathetic fins.

All Tebow needs to do is win this Sunday and he'll be in the playoffs.  Won't be easy cause Orton knows the playbook but I'm pretty sure Tebow will have a good game.

You can bet anything that Elway will be carefully analyzing is options at the position. Despite what he might publicly say because of the fan base, he doesn’t trust Tebow and he knows very well he is not the answer for the Broncos to becoming relevant (football wise) once again.  He will say that he supports him, but he is analyzing every possible option present with the draft, and most likely they will draft a QB.

He is currently 6-3, another loss and he is 6-4 with a 3 game loosing streak and out of the playoffs.  The season will be summarized by an incredible streak and then kind of a choke at the end when expectations rose.  This kind of balancing was to be expected, when there are incredible highs with subpar performances you can always count with the lows following.
