Seemed like an easy season finale.   Looks like all the teams caught on and took detailed notes. I think the producers need to mix up the show a bit and make it more challenging.

Dino019 - 2013-05-04 8:28 PM Thanks powerman, but I will agree to disagree with you about the "common sense" comment. The defintion of spoiler, that I posted earlier, is my common sense definition of that word. Whenever I see "spoiler" that is what I think of. Too me, common sense would be to not view this thread if you are a couple days behind on your dvr. Like you, I'm not trying to argue, just givingmy opinion. Didn't know people woukld get so offended.........can't make everyone happy, right?

Again not to pick at this topic but everybody figured it out but you.

I think it was a pretty standard season finale.  I think it was last season they had to put in order the greeting word of the native country representative that greeted them at the mat.  That was brutal.  This showed who took good notes and who got lucky which is what the race is all about in the end.

I felt bad for Max trying to find his secret service agent guy.  To get to the end of them with no success had to be brutal on him.

I'm glad they gave us an update on the father and son team.  Hopefully he'll be back for an "unfinished business" season.  That was actually a good season of "all stars" but had not won the money.

I felt bad for the country music girl that freaked out in the water.  I've been swimming all my life but I can see that for someone that doesn't swim that would be very hard to get over.

Okay, maybe it's just me but the roller derby moms were a bit disappointing.  They never really did really well in a leg they just didn't suck as much as anyone else.  Max and Katie and Bates and Anthony were very deserving of their top two finish.  Maybe I just don't like that team because the skinnier one of the two was a little mean to her partner.  Just seemed like a team that was pretty negative and it showed in their performance.

The moms were cool, but ya, just hung in. And I'm sorry, but at what point do you call time out with your partener and say WTF is your problem? They totally screwed up the meal service thing. At least the hockey players got stuck on the last one, so they knew it was just that. But the other girl just sending tray after tray of random stuff and it was clear she was missing something important at the very start... WTF? That was a tough challenge to be the one running back and forth and up and down. But they were not emiminated

I'm glad the country singers didn't make it to the final... they really did get a LOT of help from the hockey players and were dragged along. Although I agree...if she freaks out in the wet suit and swim... that's tough to get over. She would have made it the first time if she didn't get out and jump to the other side. Nice enough girls, but they really were not strong players.

Max and Katey... meh. They do not seem very nice. Perhaps it is the stress... but wow... the whole show she complained about her idiot husband.... I don't see that getting better. Glad they did not win.

Hockey players.... Bates was loosing it on the "Titanic" challenge too. Worst we saw of him for the game... at least that I can remember. But ya, they were a real strong team, performed consistently, and won a million bucks.

Bates and Anthony really were the strongest team. Once they caught up on the final leg, they excelled in all the challenges.

Katie is the one that kept her team in the race. She figured out the titanic meal challenge fairly quickly......well, at least it was edited that way. But I just couldn't root for them because of Max.

the derby moms really shot themselves in the foot every time they had to drive themselves somewhere. Navigation skills were lacking! I can't wait to talk to Beth, to see what the deal was with that. Then there was the big snafu with telling the cab driver to go to the White House instead of 1100 Penn. Once they dropped the ball on that, I kinda figured they were done.

But, congrats to Bates and Anthony. They did a great job overall!!

Lets just say there was some serious editing done there. What they edited out would've made for good television, in my opinion. They didn't show the "whole story" during that challenge, which I find interesting because they usually show when teams argue or yell with/at each other.

Got it... and I could see too when she said "the list" and the other said "ya, the list"... that you would go on assuming you had the right list. But at least with the challenges... when it is going South, you just know you missed something important somewhere. But you know... the couch adds 50 I.Q. points so it is obvious to me.

Egads there was even more yelling and frustration than was even shown?!  I was kind of glad that Bates lost it, because no one can be that nice all the time.   I hate it when they yell at each other, as though the other teammate is trying to screw something up.  Brent did this a LOT in the last season, but all is forgotten and everyone loves the Beakman Boys.  I am sure in the heat of the moment, and you're tired/hungry, you definitely lose perspective.  However, again and again...?

Roller Derby Moms made CLASSIC mistakes again and again.  Not stopping to figure out directions, but instead driving aimlessly?  Why? If you find out, I am dying to know.   Also, making assumptions.  If the clue says "1100 Pennsylvania Ave" then you tell the driver exactly that.   That works in life and on TV.

While I'm happy for the hockey players, overall there wasn't much drama in this finale.

After last week's show my wife and I were kinda shocked that they gave away who was eliminated 1st this week.  In the preview for this week's finale, it was clear as day the country singers were gone first.

Oh well.  Hopefully the show's producers took note of what happened and will work to ensure more finale drama.

In some previous seasons they were not allowed to USE their notes.

I mean, I didn't see anyone reference notes on the globe challenge...seems like they could easily remember the countries in order.  But most of them pulled out their notes for the combo.

I know in the hello/goodbye challenge last season there were no notes.

"no notes" would be one good way to make these challenges harder.  And lots of these were less specific or required them to think about something...not just "go here".  But...still...rather lame for a final leg.

I think after last season the hello greeting taking so long fans were a little put off by that so they went with an easier final task that rewarded some level of intelligence but made sure there was a benefit to being faster and getting to that challenge faster unlike the last hello/goodbye year when everybody bunched up at the end.
