Happy Friday! It is a long day for me. And I am a little short on sleep. I might be able to squeeze in a nap ... maybe. If you massage your clients to sleep then you can take a nap, too.
HA!! That thought has crossed my mind before Make sure the room is warm and toasty for your clients. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Dee I have a question for you - I have had massages from several different people, and my favorite - the one who isn't afraid of my neck, starts people on their backs, then has them roll over to their stomachs. This is different from everyone else I've been to. I forget her reasoning why, but I do know she spent some time in Asia learning massage techniques and it was something she learned over there. What say you? |

This is different from everyone else I've been to. I forget her reasoning why, but I do know she spent some time in Asia learning massage techniques and it was something she learned over there. What say you? I don't know her reasoning. There may be a specific technique that she want to end with that means you have to be on your stomach. Or maybe it is something to do with chai (ki) which is a factor in Asian massage. However when I was learning some Thai massage from a guy who trained over there, we started face down. From a practical standpoint, most people have back and shoulders as major issues. And those areas are easier to address face down. I also find it a little easier for people to turn face up part way thru rather than face down because of their unfocused state of mind and moving bolsters, etc. I usually start people face down, but not always. Totally depends on the person and what the focus is for the session. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Well Ghloulies, it turns out I am allergic to more things than last testing and way more allergic to the things I was allergic to before. That is good news, I didn't rate getting shots last time, this time I do. They were pretty convinced that if I do the "fast track" stacking of the first rounds of shots, I can see some improvements by this late spring/ summer. Crossing fingers that it works. He was not keen on acupuncture, Dee as it is not a "cure" like the shots eventually are. He did say that in the interim it is a really good option to relieve symptoms. I have a friend who does it and I am going see about setting up a session. Especially since most of the things I am allergic to are out there in the great big world that I am getting ready to garden in! However, I really need to see if I can get insurance to pay for it. Especially with the big bills we are going to have with Jim. Wine tasting dinner with good friends this evening! Yea! |

Glad you have a treatment plan and hopefully will have good results. Frank did shots when we first moved to GA. They worked out good for him. I had such a bad reaction in the allergist office, took two shots and two sets of pills to get me back that I refused to go and do the shot treatment which they recommended. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good afternoon Ghoulies. Went for a motorcycle ride today. I was passenger though since I only got maybe 3 hours of sleep last night. Could not turn off my mind On the ride today I had invited a friend to come. While at lunch I asked her about these two people who had been friends with me, but I had noticed things were a bit strange. She confirmed that one had decided that she did not like me and her daughter has followed suit. I figured as much, and now that I know I can stop wasting my time and theirs by extending invites to them. It is actually a big relief to know that I was not crazy and there was something. I don't know exactly what I did, but thats okay. I'm over it. So, all it all it was a great ride today. Productive. Here's hoping that I am able to sleep tonight. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action Good morning Ghoulies! I survived yesterday's pool session... mostly. My legs and feet are bruised up, and I woudn't recommend doing what I did yesterday with a shoulder issue, but I survived. I'm also a freak of nature. Two very nice people were helping me learn to roll yesterday. I have watched countless videos, and had the general concept down. They broke it down into steps for me, and we started with just hanging on to the end of the pool and hipsnapping back up. You don't really use your hips, it's more your knees, and I knew this going in. I did great. They told me I progressed pretty quickly, and we moved off the side of the pool and I put my hands on their hands and rolled under than back. Both people told me I barely put pressure on their hands to push myself up, this is a good thing. The guy asked me to see if I could do a roll without using a paddle. I could. Most people can't, ever, so for a beginner to do this is great. Then they started having me use the paddle. Can't do it. I'm hanging upside down in my kayak, under water, can't see anything (forgot my goggles) and I'm trying to visualize my paddle and I couldn't do it. I couldn't get myself back up with the paddle. I was very comfortable in the water. I'd get partway up then go back under, the guy would grab my boat and flip me back up, I was going to try again, but he didn't give me time. I'll keep practicing, but at least I know if I'm on the water I can get back up, I'll just let go of my paddle. |

It won't be as green as Robin's but it will be better than what we have and give us room for long car trips. |

Although apparently you don't have to play to win, so... just sit tight and wait for your check. |
