Really late, but here it goes:

Dragoman: when I was studying translation years ago I read about dragoman, who was both a guide and a translator. I was a tour guide working towards becoming an interpreter, so the name sounded fine. No relation to dragons though!

Avatar: just the good old ITBS, which I'm recovering from. Seeing the avatar reminds me to not overtrain again and to follow a comprehensive stretching program, as much as I may despise it.

My profile picture was taken at an adventure race about this time last year (pre-injury).

Motivated please keep the ugly photo. Between you and Crapaydiem (which is how I always read it) with the naked dance I always get a giggle. I must be like a goldfish, I chuckle every time! Dx

I can't quite remember, it was some time ago...before my cosmetic dentistry procedure and makeover.

your wife?!?! I think you took that song

'if you wanna be happy for the rest of your life,
never make a PRETTY woman your wife,
go for my personal point of view,
get an ugly girl to marry you',

a bit too seriously!!!!

From "Settings," upload your picture into "Profile Image" at the bottom left, rather than "Personal Photo."

Cute cats. Which one is you?

Thank you Karl. The entire community owes you its gratitude.

WAIT! It's still there! Only now it's wearing a singlet and a finisher's medal!

Anyone noticed how Dana's Avatar looks like the person riding the bike (Is that you Dana?) is riding on snow?

Nothing unique. I graduated from Texas Tech University. I started using the redraider name in college and had to add the 2002 to make it unique. Now I use it in every forum possible because it is easy to remember.

The avatar encourages me to think "mighty thoughts". I need all the help I can get when I am trying to train on little sleep and with less energy!

Yippie! Another Red Raider! Sorry, I get excited when I find a fellow Red Raider. I grew up in West Texas and went to school out there...then got my job here in East Texas. Too many Aggies running around here, lol. I jump up and down when I see a Double T on someone's car!

When I started visiting online running forums, I didn't feel like giving away too much personal information, so I opted for the most anonymous name I could think of. Sort of like those old commercials that compared products to "Brand X". Hence, "Runner X".

Plus, I suppose there's some type of reference to "Racer X" from Speed Racer.

Signed,
"X"

It is always great to find another Red Raider. Sometimes I wish I could get out of West Texas. But then you have either the Aggie or the Longhorn problem.

Oh well, at least I have mile after mile of open road to ride my bike and run!

Oh no, not again! Tom, you're going to have all the aggies and longhorns after us. It's bad enough that I am surrounded by them! Just kidding, I do live a little space in my heart for those types...unfortunately I have some aggie friends and I am even going to stay with some friends in College Station next weekend for a stage race in Anderson.
