Ooohhh... and as for me, I had a 30 minute bike on the schedule so I swam 400 meters and biked for 45 minutes or so .  Oops.  Nah, my life got in the way so I had to rearrange a few workouts.

we can never have too many ex-swimmers on this site

Or chemists...

I respectfully disagree...have you ever been with a room full of geeky chemists?  I imagine Noz already has a pic in his library to address this comment...

Yeah, but just think of all the big words they could throw around for me .

We know what happens when you hear big words...

Tonight I'll get to be around people talking corp. comm, marketing and PR.  Oh sure, they're well spoken but they never shut up.  However, I'll be wearing a sassy outfit with really high heels and drinking wine so I won't care all that much.

Have fun tonight, Mila...ooh high heels...I'm going to a Christmas party tonight...white elephant gifts are on the schedule...we're wrapping up a can of SPAM (made right here in MN)...I was gonna go and try to find a tin of fruitcake, but couldn't find any .  The other gift is a hula hoop...do ya think anyone will guess, if we wrap it really well?

I feel certain no one will guess.  I think that's a fun gift.  Especially once people have a few drinks in them.  The SPam?  Not so much.   Yes, the shoes are ridiculously hot and were a huge splurge but the boy toy didn't seem to care.  Huh.  Go figure .

Hey All,

Well got a long run n but not as long as I wanted! It was just one of those days, so instead of the 17 miles, I put in 13. It just could not get in the rhythm today, for whatever reason. I was well fed from last nite and the am, nothing out of the ordinary . . I did go to sleep later then I would have liked . . 11pm instead of 9:30, but, I have done those before. I think it was much hotter today that it has been, since I was already done with a 7oz FB flask @ mile 3 when I usually can get to 6 . . . so I am guessing the heat / humidity had a negative impact.

Overall though, the 13 miles was a good run, I will call it a light week run and move on to the longer runs over the next few weeks.

How was everybody else's workouts today?

Huh...did you get that at a white elephant gift exchange?  Cool...at our work white elephant gift exchange I got a Nascar ball cap ...I really wanted the monkey...

We wrapped up one more gift...it's a half-eaten package of Ferrero Roche chocolates...I LOVE Ferraro Roche chocolates...

workout? I "ran" my son to b-ball, then I "ran" to my daughter's dance recital, then we "ran" errands (Christmas shopping, almost done). Now I'm home, wrapped up in a blanket  chatting here. You're a brave man, Sal. I can't fathom running in sub zero weather. It's in the 20's here (before wind chill) and I can barely stand to go from store to car to store again. Then again, I've been quite the slacker this month.

I also have to chew out my DH for calling at midnight or later every night, especially when I have to drag 2 kids all over the valley in the morning.

Oh, and our work Christmas party was last night. It was fun (despite going stag), and I won a Thomas the tank engine toothbrush/tumbler set and some cookie cutters.

Hey Sparco,

Nice on the Run, I prefer cooler runs, but not quite freezing! My blood is too thin for that much cold! We are just spoiled here in FL.

Yesssss!  Good job on the rubbing in the warm weather, Corey .

I think 13 miles is very respectable.  I also strongly believe that you need to listen to your body so good on ya for doing that today even if it meant cutting your planned run down a little.

let's take a tour, shall we?  the trophy is the first ever trophy i got.  3rd place ag for 11-12 boys swimming, waterloo iowa.  those were the days.

the mug is full of loose change, have to take that into the bank.

the battery is actually a flashlight, you can see the two bulbs on top.  remarkable light from something so light.

the elephant (basheba) is standing on an instrumental analysis book.

the hawkeye statue and brown thing are things from when i was a little noz.  the brown thing is a stuffed monkey i had since i was .5 years old.

and the thing on the back right is a small star wars helmet.

others, some pipe cleaners, a picture at a football game, and a bible.

thanks for playing the noz picture hunt!
