Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into actionThat strange smell you got a whiff of last night was the smell of my skin burning. I was cooking steaks on the grill. One of them curled up a little and formed like a little cup in the middle, and it was filled with juices. I flipped it over and flame shot up and burnt my thumb, bottom half of index, and middle fingers, half my hand, and about 4" up the inside of my forearm. Donnie and Keri finished making dinner while I camped out in the bathroom with cold water running over my hand and arm. Keri even cut my steak up for me, filled my glass with water, and buttered me a piece of bread. After dinner I got myself a glass of wine and went to lay down in my bed. Caleb wanted to watch more Doctor Who (I stream episodes for free with my Amazon prime membership) I went to have some wine and there was a fly in the glass. :-/ I got another glass and put it on the nightstand and Milo came over and helped himself to some. I just couldn't win. My arm still feels like it is burning a little, but not like last night. Mostly 1st, but a small area that looks like a second degree burn. Oh well. I'll survive. My only concern is I am going kayaking tomorrow and my drytop is tight around the wrists. I may not be able to wear it. |
