MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. I felt like I didn't stop moving all weekend long. Saturday got up and ran/walk 3.5 miles, then went to the gym and did 24 min on the trainer and then another 40 min of strength training. Home to get ready for the funeral. The funeral was good. Our circle of girl friends took all the family out for a meal afterwards. Then Frank and I went to someones 50th birthday party. To go from a funeral to a party was surreal. Sunday, got up early and started canning. Made 28 jars of jam and three large containers of compote. Strawberries are all gone. Now I need some more, LOL. then we went to a craft show, helped out at the 2-Day booth, got the car washed, oil changed and tires rotated. Grocery shopping and then home to fold the laundry I washed earlier while canning. I was beat last night. Went to bed at 9:30, did not fall asleep until 2:30. Dang! Even took some melatonin and it did not help any. I am beat.

Her knee hurts. She did minimal running in rec league practice on Thursday night. I kept her home from travel team practice on Friday evening. She did go to travel team practice yesterday. While we were at practice I emailed her coach and told him if his plan was for Keri to catch every game that I would be pulling her off of the team. I told him it was not only unfair to expect her to catch every game, it just wasn't practical. I know he wants to win some softball games, but I need to think of her health long term. He replied back last evening and said he completely understood. He said in hindsight he's not sure why Keri caught all 4 games last weekend, but it won't happen again. They have tournaments coming up the next 2 weekends. I know this first one coming up one of the girls that can catch won't be there. They have 3 games on Saturday. I told him she can catch 2, but preferable the first and third, so she has a break in between. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Saturday morning Caleb participated in Soccerfest 14. AYSO was trying to break the record for the world's largest pick-up soccer game. They divided up the area teams and a few teams went to different locations all across the country, where they just split up into random teams and played soccer. Our guys played for about 3 hours. It was our U16 & U19 boys teams, plus some U14 girls I believe. Caleb got to play midfield some, which he liked, he was really excited to go play just for fun. One of the games he ended up in goal. The other team scored 6 on him. He was in tears. He did his best, he had no defense. I felt horrible for the kid. The next game he took his stuff of so he wasn't in the goal. One of the kids that did play goalie was a guy from our school. He is hands down the best goalkeeper around. Caleb's team scored 5 on him. Afterwards I pointed out to Caleb that they scored 5 on Cameron, he had nothing to worry about with the goals they scored on him. EVERY goalkeeper gets scored on. EVERY SINGLE ONE! That seemed to cheer him up a bit. |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good Morning Ghoulies! It was a fairly busy weekend here, but a good one. Saturday took GSD to the vet for exam and shots and nail trim. Also bought 8 mos supply of flea/tick/heartworm meds for two dogs, and 1 month supply of probiotic for one dog. Bill was $400. Ouch. |

I am going to be helping out with the Alumni who get to march, so I have to be here by 5:45 in the morning. The graduates start their parade into the the quad at 7:15 am, so traffic is going to be a bear that morning. I am going to try to get here by about 5:15 and I'm hoping that traffic won't be too bad then. Who am I kidding, it's going to be bad. |

Think outside the box... unless you're near a TARDIS, they're bigger on the inside. Can you park somewhere within a few miles of the campus and bike the rest of the way? Not bike for speed, but a little faster than leisurely so you aren't all sweaty. |

I have been p!ssed off at the world for about a month now, and instead of things getting better they're getting worse. Grrrr I try to treat people the way I would want to be treated, and I try to teach my kids this. If only more people would behave this way the world would be a better place. Instead people are lying, deceitful, obnoxious, jealous, petty, I could go on... |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Hi Ghoulies! Sorry to be absent. What a weird week I had! The sampling event turned into a two 18 hour day event with internet silence requirement while on-site. (I cheated and read messages and some e-mail). After the second 18 hours, I finished my part and headed directly to Wrightsville Beach for to teach a class. I got that done yesterday afternoon and then was a free woman. I napped, walked on the beach, rode my bike then walked down the beach to eat dinner. Today, I normally would drive home. I am not. I am staying today and playing. I plan to do the same thing as yesterday. It is perfect beach weather here. High in the 90s, but a nice breeze/wind that makes it feel almost cool. Sunny skies and a few clouds just to make pretty pictures. I'll check back in later on. Ann. Kendra is right again, ignore the idiots if you can, the more you focus on them, the more of them you see and the bigger they get. I hope you have a slam-dunk weekend. Kendra, I hope your weekend is more fun than hectic. Dee, WOW on that vet bill! We do love our pets, don't we? Have a fantastic weekend. Take Hannah for a run. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ghoulies! I was wondering where you were Robin, I thought we might have to send out a search party. There is nothing I love more than watching my kids play. There is nothing I despise more than parents that ruin it. I cannot wait until Keri is old enough to be on teams where mom or dad isn't the coach. At her afternoon basketball open gyms, that are run by the junior high coaches the kid absolutely shines. Donnie ran into the brother of one of the coaches, and he was telling Donnie all kinds of great things he's heard about Keri as a basketball player. So it is killing me that she is so miserable playing softball this year, when she loves softball more than basketball. When I picked her up from basketball yesterday she saw the softball organization president at the jv softball game at the school. Keri asked if I'd talked to her. I told her I had, and I told her that she wouldn't be allowed to move up and play for the other coach. She started to cry. She asked if I told her all the things that were going on. I told her I had. I asked if she wanted to go back and talk to her. She said yes. I turned the car around. Keri and the pres talked for a few minutes. Keri was in tears again telling her why she didn't like playing softball anymore. I honestly don't think it made a difference. The pres was going to go to practice last night, but 4 of the girls, including Keri weren't there, they had their spring chorus concert. She told Keri she'd talk to the coach, then she'd talk to me again, and she'd make a decision. I really think that if Keri can't move up she won't play this year. Usually we've had a rule that if you start a season you have to finish it. I think we will make an exception this year. She is still playing travel ball. She can play summer basketball, and there will be some volleyball if she wants to play. The whole situation makes me sad, and frustrated, and yet proud of my daughter for speaking up for herself. I just wish things were different. <sigh> |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good Morning Ghoulies! Yeah for Friday!!!! It has been a looong week. For many of us, it sounds like. Kendra, how did commencement go? Robin, enjoy the beach! That sounds like a wonderful day you have planned Ann, I am so sorry that Keri has to deal with this, and that it doesn't seem to be able to be resolved. At least there are the other sport options. She sounds like such an amazing person |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good afternoon Ghoulies. I too am glad it's Friday, however I am not looking forward to Monday. Well, I'm really not looking forward to the traffic, but I am looking forward to seeing how the day goes. Ann - sounds like Keri is really acting quite reasonably. I'm glad she felt she could talk to the pres of the softball. It may not help, but at least you can both say you tried to correct a bad situation. Robin - enjoy the beach. Crap to internet silence. Dee - the crazy commencement day will be on Monday. My plans for this weekend - run a 5K tomorrow morning wearing a batgirl outfit. Yes you heard correctly. I have a batgirl dress to wear to run the race. Then my son wants to do something for mothers day. I don't know what yet. I have left that up to him and hubby. I'm hoping to get some gardening done. The weeds are beginning to take control, and I would like to get some flowers to plant. Maybe even get some mulch. And if I'm really lucky, I'll finally get to go to the movie Divergent. I would really like to see it. Read the book already and I'm now reading the second one in the series. Happy early Mothers day to all the mothers out there. Whether you gave birth or not, if you had a hand in the rearing of a child, you are a mother. |
