Hope everybody in NE is riding out the storm and has power. We've lost it a dozen times for a second or two but a street in either direction is out so we're lucky. They're evacuating Hull which is two towns north on the water and Quincy which is a small city directly south of Boston with a population of roughly 100K is completely without power. Looking out we have about a foot but tough to tell with the drifts. Some areas have 2.5 feet. I live so close to the coast we got less snow but a lot more wind.

Yup. Almost 3 feet here. I believe Kelly has almost 3 feet as well. And it's still snowing here in northeastern CT. The only people happy right now are the kids. I won't be getting out of my driveway for a while.

The wind here is still gusting to over 60 so the kids aren't even loving it yet because they can't go out. We have a lot of tall pines so I'm still concerned the wind will take one out so there's no way I'd let them out until it dies down. Glad you're doing well Jeff. Think of all that shoveling as good core work.

We only have 6 inches here. The kids are begging to go out. I told them they have to wait til I'm off the trainer. I am dreading the constant in and out with wet boots, gloves, hats, snow pants, etc. And the wet floors from all of that! Ugh. I sound like a terrible parent but I hate snow.

We have just under 3 feet.  Shaun had to open the garage to dig a path for Abbey to go outside.  Can't open the back door because there's a snow drift up to my chest on the deck.

Trainer ride and then I'm going to go "run" in the snow.

3+ here. We haven't lost power. Still coming down but not as heavily. Windy though. Had to dig out the chicken coop. Kelly - how are you running in this? Me - the treadmill while the kids play outside. I may have to go on the roof and some of the eaves to shovel.

^^^^^ That's awesome.  Now that's a chore I could appreciate.  Maybe not after 20 minutes.  My husband and I raked and bagged up leaves a few months ago.  I was sweating like crazy, kept having to take breaks (it was embarrassing) and was sore for days!  After what seemed like hours I had to quit and he finished.  Shoveling snow has got to be a whole lot harder.

Nice job Todd!!!

I just had a post workout treat. For those still on Whole30 or the like, I had 'pancakes' made of 1 banana and 2 eggs mixed together. Cooked on a griddle like regular pancakes. And I topped it with this 'nutella' like creation I made yesterday. It really hit the spot!!

Michele - that looks and sounds delicious.  Thanks for sharing.

(I went to cheesecake factory yesterday with some co-workers, and had cheesecake. Worth every bite!)

Yak Trax and hopping through the snow.  I'll probably do a mile in about 25 minutes.

Wearing the HR monitor while shoveling snow. Is that one of those "you know you're a triathlete if....." moments? That's awesome Todd.

2 hours shoveling snow and 90 min upper ZR trainer ride done. I need to find a couch and nap. But thanks to Karen, I'm thinking about cheesecake.

Got a nice 3 hour ride in today.  Fun times.  Saw a guy in a pickup "walking" his horse by driving on the shoulder and holding the reins out of the drivers side window.  Only in Texas type stuff.

OK, why? Because he couldn't actually walk, or ride the horse?

Fabulous day here in Georgia!  Z2/Z3 run this morning, then 2 hour ride outside.  It's in the 50's, sunny and beautiful!

I'm pretty sure my workouts were fueled by cheesecake.  I felt awesome!

And the saddle is much better outside vs. on the trainer.

We ended up with about 16. It took me about 90 minutes to shovel out however a guy with a front end loader saw me and took out the head of the driveway which saved me a 12X20 patch and probably another 90 minutes as that would have been the heaviest and hardest part. Turns out there's a tree down at the head of our street that took down wires and is blocking the road completely on 25 feet from our house so snowy we couldn't even see it from the upstairs. Going the other direction with 75 feet of the house power lines down in 4 spots and 7 trees down with 4 different roads completly blocked. Yet we still have power.

With all of the talk about shoveling and going for runs in the snow, this is the image I have of y'all...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6w4XtsfyVo

Seriously, everyone stay warm and safe.

Following Kelly's suggestion, I had my first 40 minute run today, and it went ok, but we'll see whether I'm sore tomorrow.
