Expert 1255 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Ernesto's group (5th season) - Closed Race report at http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=479035. Thanks to everyone for your support and your congratulations. This forum was a tremendous part of my amazing results. And believe me, I surprised myself. I knew it was possible, but I didn't know if I would do it. The Hanson plan worked exactly as advertised. 20 very easy miles, 5 easy miles and 1.2 hard miles. Everything came together perfectly to produce the experience of a lifetime. Training, weather, nutrition, low stress level, encouragement; it was all there. Even though I am crossing this bucket list item off 10 years late, it was absolutely AWESOME! Yesterday I had a little bit of a problem walking and was pretty stiff after the 3-hour ride home. Per coach E, I used ice (I chose an ice bath). The foam roller, stick and stretching were my best friends. Today I hardly feel a thing. I am truly grateful for each and everyone of you. Jackie

Hats off to you for doing 12 miles on the dreadmill. I can go for just an hour before I am done on that thing. I hope the weather changes for you sooner than later so you can get outside and enjoy the nice weather. But it seems you have the mental toughness to be able to go that long on the dreadmill |

It was a great documentary and made the 12 miles almost bearable. Plan to do my weekly strength running workout tomorrow morning outsdie, then Wed. we get 6+ inches of snow. Hope it melts fast!
