You are right about that.  Sometimes you wish you could just drop everything and go right away.  Meanwhile, I have a month to leave this branch in tip top shape.

Morning Ghoulies

It is my day off and I am trying to focus on what I need to do. which is a ton of yard work, laundry, a run, yada yada yada.

I am sipping coffee and thinking about doing stuff. That counts, right?

The planning stage is VERY important!

I just received some sad news.

A friend of Donnie and I's, whom we played volleyball with before any of us ever had kids, shot and killed himself last night.

He has a son that is Keri's age, and his wife is very active in the school.

So sad.

Oh!! I am so sorry. Suicide is so horrific and difficult (impossible) to deal with. Sending you all strength!

Good Morning!  So glad it is Friday. 

Another car show for us tomorrow.  At least the weather is supposed to cooperate.

That is such a tough one.  So very hard on those left behind.  Prayers for all concerned.

Saturday was a long busy day. Yesterday was a lazy, rainy, recoop day.

Morning Ghoulies.

It was a slow weekend here all around. I did get 18 pounds of peppers chopped and ready for making sweet pepper relish. My swim, bike, run was washed out. We chose not to ride or run in the rain either. Riding to avoid the tourons is one thing. Riding in the rain to avoid tourons and dirty dancing fans is quite another.

Good morning Ghoulies.  It is another rainy day here.  I don't think I will be getting tennis in tonight.  Guess I'll just have to go to the gym and get in a workout. 

Ann - how is that new car treating you?

Robin - smart move on avoiding rain and tourons.

I put 100 miles on it over the weekend. On Saturday, even though we had a lot to do to get ready for a picnic we were having in the evening, the kids and I were looking for reasons to go driving.

We had the party for Keri's softball team at our house. We had a water slide, even though we thought it was on the cool side the kids had a blast. The parents whooped up on the kids in kickball. There was also a giggly volleyball game amongst the kiddos.

Once it got dark we had a slideshow, on a giant inflatable screen courtesy of Gettysburg college. It was of pictures of the team during the playoffs. Then we had fireworks. The cool, loud booming, exploding up in the air fireworks. The picnic started around 5:00, and the last people left just before 11:00.

TRY to have some fun.. okay?

Yeah, it sounds like life is just too serious around Ann's house. 

Dear Ghoulies,

You are all cordially invited to a picnic at my house, complete with water slide, kickball, volleyball, fireworks, and we can stream a movie on the screen while we sit outside around the firepit and make smores.
