Dude - did you forget about the pictures? werd He also owes us pics of hot Ms. Rachel. I mean, he's seriously screwing up in his TAN responsibilities here. Yep, he is definitely letting TAN down. To change the subject, see my Inspire to you. Don't race a distance until you're ready is basically my advice. The race will just end up SUCKING. Yeah, that's why I'm figuring I'll not sign up. I'd have been ready if it weren't for the neck/shoulder/back/whatever it really was pull I got on the 2nd of July. Never thought that would keep me out of the pool the whole month. I'll look at my log in a minute. Just kinda sucks because I'd thought that would be a really fun trip/race. Now I don't have the big goal to work forward to this year, and I'll have to move it to next year instead. A few questions: 1) Which race was it? 2) What was your swimming like before the neck issue, i.e. do you have a strong swimming background? 3) How did I go through my Americone Dream so quickly? I understand the frustration - pulled the hammy in mid-May, reinjured it (truth be told it wasn't really fully healed) in late-May, had a crappy race the first of June, and spent most of the summer in PT instead of "racing". Had a gone in when I first injured it, I'm sure that my summer would have been a lot different. I know it sucks to delay your plans, but I think it's better to be healed and prepared. That's my $0.02 worth. Also think about it this way: the swim for a 1/2 iron isn't that much longer than an Oly, so just because you have to bag the Oly for this season, doesn't mean that you have to bag an 1/2 iron next year if you already have the run and bike down for the Oly. |
