Morning, saw that low tide as well lol, sounds like we'll have a nice sized group at 9!

Tide...there is a tide difference here. It looks like a bathtub.

I don't have a BT shirt but I'll look for you guys.

Even with 15mph winds today, the water does not look too bad at all. 71 degree water temp. Bring those wet suits!

From the weather report this morning, looks like it's going to be a bit cool on race morning. One weather report called for 51 degrees at the start while another called for 44 degrees. Guess we'll see.

Oh...one last thing. I don't like to toot my own horn..but Happy B-day to me today!!

I am so jealous of all of you who are already there. As you are out swimming in the ocean right now, I am sitting at work trying to get motivated until I leave today at noon. Of course, I'm only coming to volunteer this year, but am so excited! Will be there late tonight and will be on the beach in the morning for a 9am swim with those who are swimming tomorrow as well.

Be safe folks. You have done the training and you ARE ready. I will be there cheering you on all day long Saturday!!!

Wow, there were a lot of jellyfish out there today.  Got stung twice.  Kinda felt like a bee sting.  Also sick from taking in saltwater.  Hope that doesn't happen on Saturday.

Yep, I was stung once by the first buoy but it didn't really hurt.

I couldn't find any of you once I got out of the water...sorry!  Hope you weren't waiting/looking for me.

Great swim everyone.  It was great to meet all of you finally.

I was waiting for people at the turn buoy and didn't see anyone so I pushed on.  I hope we do not have waves like that for the swim back.  I told the guy on the surfboard, holding the second turn buoy to turn off the wave machine.  got back to shore at about the time I am planning to do the first loop.

Off to get my wife and daughter at the airport..coming in at 1:47pm...

Catch all of you later.

Yeah...we have had a few jellies down here and the surf is actually suppose to build come Saturday.  I checked the surf report and looks like you may have a bit of surf...get ready to duck dive if the waves are up...

Good luck everyone!  I'll be at the first buoy as a kayak volunteer!!

Thanks for volunteering!

Got stung by a jellyfish today.  No real issue, but I am putting meat tenderizer in my T1 bag just in case.

Will be at the dinner with my BT shirt.  Look forward to seeing the BT folks.  Are we grabbing table/s for the group?

Works for me on grabbing a table for the group.   Just got in from getting my wife and daughter at the airport.  Heading down to the Ironman Village to show them around.
I'll look for you in your BT shirt.

I am a total sucker!  Purchased a Cervelo P2 at the expo today.  I never buy at expo's but the bike looked so sexy, I needed a new one anyways, and the price for a demo bike was pretty darn good.  Of course if you are going to have a bike that looks that good you have to get race wheels for it right?Wink
