ebshot - 2010-03-25 6:37 AM Today is Alex's 9th birthday!  One more year and she'll be in the double digits.  Yikes, time sure does fly, I feel old.

I hear that!  My middle daughter, Erin, turned 10 yesterday.  And Rachel becomes an official teenager in June!  How is that possible when she was just born YESTERDAY!!!

Good morning, Beasties!  No AM workout today... heading to the gym at lunch to get in that dreaded pool again.  I am over 100% on my bike goal and somewhere around 95% on my run goal (5 more miles).  I need to do as much swimming as possible over the next few days.  But I'll get there!

GO TEAM GO... HAMMER TIME!!!

Happy Birthday Alex!  Wait until you have kids that break out of teenage-hood.  I have a son that turns 20 next month!  Talk about feeling old!

My son is an 18yo college freshman; my daughter is 13yo and starts HS next year.

Hello team, sorry I've been out of touch this week.  Busy training new staff, working out new schedules for the new hours that start in 3 weeks, working out the weekend rotation so that staff don't want to kill me, etc.  Did get in a killer workout on tuesday, but it looks like swimming is going to be the tough goal to meet this month.  have company all this weekend, but I'm hoping that they will want to go with me to the gym at least one of the days.

I don't even have time to catch up with the 40 pages of posts.  Good job team, but those darn twisters are keeping their lead.  I hope we are beating them at the actual training challenge.

I had a good, hard swim this morning; 100m repeats kicked my butt. They were supposed to all be done within +/- 2 seconds of each other but it didn't happen, although I ended up doing 7 or 8 within +- of 2:00. Unfortunately, that's several seconds slower than I can usually do my 100's.

I've definitely discovered that if I want a quieter swim with no waiting the secret is to swim on Tuesday/Thursday.

I will get back to some easy biking and running next week so I should meet/exceed all of my goals.

Go bEASTies!

Got a great trainer ride done.  I took off my aerobars and am amazed that the difference it made.  I felt like they were in my way.  So, off they went and I am so much more comfortable on my bike.  I pushed it pretty hard and had a great sweatfest.

Jealous!  I had a kind of boring egg & cheese sandwich on a multigrain bagel from Dunkin Donuts this morning.  And some coconut coffee.  I wish I bought a bigger coffee.

I am now publicly promising to put on my running shoes and, well, run TODAY.  If I can grab enough time, I will try to repeat last week's ten-mile route.  There, I said it.  Now, I have to do it.  Thanks bEASTies.

Nice!

All you guys with your swimming makes me want to get back in the pool again.  I wish I was on a team again so I could just have someone telling me what to do.  I'm not that great doing pool workouts by myself.  I think I need a swimming buddy.

Yet again, I've proven to myself that I'm completely useless when I get home from work.  I went to the gym last night and got my lifting workout done.  Then I was gonna go home and ride the trainer.  But then I got distracted then next thing I knew I was in bed sleeping!  I will try to wake up early Friday morning and get that darn trainer ride in!!

Up for tonight is an interval run.  I would say that I'll try the trainer when I get home, but I'm pretty sure that won't happen.

Good morning bEASTies...I see the Twisters have thread #2 started.  See, they spend all their time post-padding and not running.  So they're a few % ahead.  We can do it!  I personally will be making 100% on both my goals.  2 more swims and 3 more strength training sessions.  I have the day off tmo so I intend to get some workouts in.

GO BEASTIES!!!

In a crappy turn of events, our insurance co has decided now to deny our claim for Cole's hearing aids.  On to file and appeal.  Unhappy.

I know exactly what you mean.  I could really benefit from someone yelling at me from the sides to pick up the pace.  Smile
