3558 - 2008-01-29 2:54 PM Actually, most of us "met" as Champps. Just sayin'

Right, but it's kind of awkward to explain "well, how did you guys meet" and say "oh, we met on an internet site!" regardless of when/where we met in person. We all knew to meet at Champps...not like I went out to Reston Town Center for a wild night, thinking, "oh, I might meet some fellow triathlete folk at this sports bar in a shopping plaza" :-P

It's explaining it to Matt that troubles me...he might think I'm a freak.

He also might think you're a freak if he read your diatribe in that joe/jane thread. Enough already.

Well, how dare they imply the things they implied...they can all GFT, as far as I'm concerned.

T = turtle? tri-hottie? tim?

 I knew it! I knew it!!!

I am sorry. My life is boring. I will not be around for most of Friday until Sunday night, so cannot provide entertainment; however, I am going on a church retreat, so feel free to make jokes at my expense while I am gone and therefore cannot defend myself.

I have lots going on at the moment, but am not going to get into it here. It also probably wouldn't qualify as rip-roaring entertainment, anyway.

I still hate it when people use "tri" as a verb.  It's not an effing verb, people.  I hate puns.  I wonder if newbies who put that in thread titles and posts think, "wow, hey, that's cute!!  I bet I will be the first person who thought of that!!"  Even worse, I saw a kids' duathlon a while back called "Kids Can Du."  Puke.

but I still think the "doggie du" is funny.  I think we should train up Murphy, Casey, and Lexi for it!

that's fine because "du" there is not being used as a verb.  c'mon former grammar nazi, you ought to know this.

I think you should tri to make your 1200th post one that does knot involve "gfy," unicorns, the words "sheesh," "Heh.", or "effin."

Z's report of the day: I started reading "Happy for no Reason" yesterday. I need to re-learn easy going happiness. Right now I can write a book "Anxious for no Reason" or "In Land of Xanax", I think it would make NY Times list ;-)

Poll of the day...

I have a sorta nice (not really) IKEA chair in my living room. Somebody decided to put his sweaty bike shorts and top on said chair. Should I throw the chair away? Or hope that the sweat stains dry?

You could give the chair to a friend in need who might be needing furniture soon?
