I have been in contact with the LBS again...yes, the frame on order is MY frame.....it is STILL another 6-8 weeks out.  WTF??? I was told that over a month ago!  I will be calling Blue directly to verify this.  The LBS offered me a discount on anything he had in stock but that would negate any honoring of the credit I currently have with Blue.

So not sure who to be angry with ....the poor communication from LBS or the LACK of customer support from Blue or BOTH.

Ugh, so sorry. That is really frustrating.

I'd be frustrated with both of em.

Blue rep said they expect my frame mid June and will ship it up as soon as they get it  MAYBE 2-3 days shipping.  IF I am lucky it will be here a week before my race.  Not a whole lot of time to fit and get used to it.

VENT.............so angry, and disgusted, with the terrorist attack in London yesterday. What the f... Are these people on? Hacking off the head of a British soldier in broad daylight in the middle of S.London. Like, WTF? I feel sorry for the guys family having to see that attack broadcast all over the news. Makes me think back to when I used to be on guard outside St Jame's Palace and how often people used to come up to you and hit you. I thought, one of these days I will drive this bayonet through your skull you pathetic individual, now go away...........rant over.

We did 7 x 1000 last night on the track, with the goal of getting faster over the second half of the reps.

Unlike last weeks track practice and the weekends 5K I felt really good. It was hard, but I felt good. Maybe my legs are starting to wake up to this speed stuff.

We went bowling with some friends afterwards. OMG I totally fell IN the lane. I was sliding and wasn't able to stop and once I hit that greased up part it was all over. I am so sore today.

I have a Strava question or two for those that use it. How do I go about setting up segments? I have a couple of spots that I ride often that I may use to measure myself with. Do I need the Premium Membership to set them up? And will Strava pick them up as part of a longer ride, and break it out automatically, or do I need to do something to get it in there. I am using the app on my smartphone.

Also, an observation. There is a segment that I ride with group on occasion that is pretty popular in the area. So I looked for it and found that the KOM is Jesse Friggin' Thomas, pro triathlete! Yeah, mark that one off the list of possibles.

I can't see a way of doing it on the phone app Chris. There is a way on the computer that is easy enough. Perhaps Ben may know. He seems to have been using it a while now. Sorry, no help really. In other news, got my JOGO for the day done. By all, off to work

I don't see it on the phone app either. It'd be a bit tricky to work there anyway.

I will never for the life of me understand the mindset of terrorism.....So tragic.

For the family of the victim to see the event played out repeatedly on the news must be heart wrenching.

Hiya Manatees!

I'm back from my conference in Philly! I had a great time and I did a ton of walking. I logged all those miles.

I'm trying to catch up on everything I missed. I hear there is some kind of challenge going on?

Oh! I'm feeling a lot better. Some allergies, but that's because I'm around the cats again after a few days. My hips were fine the whole time I was gone even with all the walking. After one day home, it hurts. I think it's my mattress. Is that at all possible?

Anyone else?

Sorry, what's the challenge?

Here's the official JoGo description:  "the challenge is 30 days of 30+ minutes of anything that is mindfully active.  What do I mean by that?  It means that walking to the mailbox, like you do every day, does not count.  It has to be something that is off the couch (you can do something like yoga or walking even on a rest day) EVERY DAY!!!"

Oh, sure, I'm in!

I will put up an official challenge list later.  It looks like some people may want the 30 days of 30+ minutes but also would like accountability for other things too for those 30 days.   I started smoothies today so I would like 30 days of 30+ minutes plus 30 days of smoothies.  I will start this as of today, seeing there are some already posting their achievements.  Let's all get out there and get our jogo on!!!

Jogo Challenge:

Chris-started 5/22 and continuing until 6/27 S/B/R and lose 8lbs

TJ-started 5/22

Jayne

Melanie

Kate-starting 5/27

Stacey-30 min activity + no chocolate, starting 5/26

Darren-started 5/22

Felicia

Salty

Joanne-30 min activity, starting 5/23 + no wine, starting 5/27

Jo

If anyone else wants in, let me know. Please post here or in your log when you get your "jogo" on. I will try to summarize weekly.

Let's do this!

Edited and fixed. Take that ipad!!!

I want in!! I will start on Monday 5/27 please.

Build it up ASAP.  I have already emailed the bike fit guru of central VA endurance sports (an occasional poster to these boards named Dave Luscan) to see if he can tentatively schedule me for a refit once it's built up.  I'm hoping they will be able to transfer over the wheel set, saddle and pedals from the current bike since there's nothing wrong with them and to a rough fit based on current fit geometry so there isn't much adjusting once they have it done.

LBS offered to cut a deal with me on any other TT bikes they have in stock but that would mean the credit Blue is giving me is void.  Would they offer me over $1000 off a new bike for my frustrations? I highly doubt it.

Yes. Not crappy candy either; it's usually Hirshey kisses, Hirshey nuggets, M&Ms, snickers etc. I'm happy to say that in the last 3 weeks or so I've only had 3 pieces - all of which have been this week!

Also, an observation. There is a segment that I ride with group on occasion that is pretty popular in the area. So I looked for it and found that the KOM is Jesse Friggin' Thomas, pro triathlete! Yeah, mark that one off the list of possibles.

I have a Strava account but have never looked into setting up a segment. Hope that was helpfulWas the Jesse Thomas KOM part of last year's REV3 ? If so, wonder if it was during the section where we actually got to ride with those wicked winds. If so, yes, it will be hard to unseat him!

Yes, it was down Manasota Key. I believe the first part of the race was with the wind, so yeah, he was wind aided. I had to double check the numbers, Good Golly those guys can FLY!!!!

That part was wind-aided and he had Andrew Starkowicz to chase after by that point. Don't forget it's mostly downhill too!

Funny, in my mind it was all uphill into the wind
