Guess who is coming to visit here?

Ghoulie Bill. He has work in the area. He has vowed to kick my butt on the MTB trails. I do not think he will have any problem in the world doing that!

So, we found out that our SIL is going to Korea for his next assignment.  Tanya and the kids will be going back to Manteca, California while he is gone.  They lived there the longest and she has a good homeschooling group that she is a part of there.  I'm bummed that she will be so far away, but at the same time I understand the need to have people there 24/7.  I know that they made good friends there and have talked about moving there after our SIL is done with the army, so it really did not come as a surprise that she decided to go there for the year.  I keep telling her that I'm pouting.

Sorry Kendra

Thanks! I contacted the shelter. Since he is on FB I expect a lot of interest. When are you leaving, and when would you be back? My problem is I don't think I'd have time to get down there and back before I leave for vacation Friday night, and I don't think I'd want to bring him home and then leave him for a week with the in-laws. I'd have to get him next weekend on our way home from the beach.

I am leaving Friday at 5:30 am. So that is really less than two days. Contact the shelter again and see if they can work up a temporary foster for the week. This is a total kill shelter so he does not have long.. maybe a couple of days at most. Jim will not be able to deal with a new dog along with all the other stuff going on here. There are groups of people who foster dogs all the time in these situations, especially if it for such a short period of time. I can only commit to through Thursday evening. That is a HUGE pinch for you.

While I would absolutely LOVE to have him, lots of other people posted that they contacted the shelter before I got there, so hopefully he finds a home. If they do respond to my email maybe I can work something out with them to pick him up next Friday or Saturday on our way home from the beach. I do not want him to be put down, he is young, and gorgeous. If I have to I'll go get him while we are at the beach and sleep with him in the car, I'm pretty sure our house doesn't allow animals.

Morning Ghoulies!  We are still recovering from our weekend.  It was a lot more sitting in the car and sitting around visiting with family than we expected.  We didn't get to go sightseeing and did minimal walking.  The visit was too quick also.  Ah well,  we are tired and didn't have enough time with DH's sister.  But we will go see them in September.  Looking forward to that.

Hi Dee!

Visiting is good, and September isn't that far away, so it's all good.

Visiting with family is always good.  It's only if I visit my younger sister that I know we will get in some hiking or swimming.  My older sister, naught.  Looking forward to Sept is good.

Good morning Ghoulies.  Grandkids arrive tonight and will be here til Monday morning, or Sunday night.  Depends upon what we all decide tonight, whether to drive DD to airport tonight and pick her up on Sunday and she drives back to Augusta late Sunday night with the kids, or she gets up and leave with the kids at 5am on Monday.  One of the boys has cub scout camp starting that Monday morning.  Crazy!

Plans for the weekend are pretty simple.  Friday - pool.  Saturday - bubble Palooza race with the kids, then the next town over is having a beach blast (they bring in a huge pile of sand and let you play).  There will be music and food, etc.  Then Sunday, I'm thinking just another pool day.

Tomorrow I get a new garage door.  Woot!

Good morning Ghoulies!

Happy FFFFriday!!!

3.5 hours and my vacation starts. Everyone is packed to go except for me. Gotta stop after work and pick up a few groceries, and some misc items, then I'll get home and pack. I can't wait to get to the beach!

Don't tell... I just ordered a cell phone for Keri. We were originally planning on waiting until next summer, before she goes into 7th grade, to get her one, but she is becoming independent. She has stayed home alone a few times recently. She is doing all sorts of sports camps and such. From our house it is a long distance call to call my cell phone, and we don't have long distance on our home phone, we only use it for incoming calls, so if she's home alone she can't call me. I don't like that. The rest of us have iPhones, but I got her an Android phone so I can put mobile controls on it. I feel she will be more of a texter and talker than her brother.

The kiddos are growing up.

YIKES!

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
