As a treat for all our hard work on our virtual sprint,  I think we've all earned a new piece of equipment.  Be it a new pair of socks or a new bike frame.  Treat yourselves well.  Smile

Tracy, that is very nice.  I'll need your address so the bike shop can bill you for my new bike.

That makes me think of Christmas Vacation where Eddie is filling the cart with dog food and Clark had just agreed to buy the kids' gifts and Eddie says "Clark, I want to get you something REEEAAAAAAL nice."

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend.  I still have to get my bike and swim in for the team tri.  It has been pouring rain here almost the entire week, so no bike.  I’ve been holding out for my swim until my tri shorts come in, but it looks like I’ll be doing it in my trunks.  There is a group ride tomorrow morning with a bunch of hammer heads, so I think I’ll just try to be up front for the 1st 12 miles (if I don’t get dropped) and then limp home after that.

Tony, I saw that you have the Synergy suit.  If you are still willing to let me borrow/buy the other suit please let me know and I’ll give you my address and send you a check.

I was actually heading to the bike store at lunch today to pick up a couple of tubes, but since Tony/Tracy have volunteered to pick up our tabs, I like Reuben's idea even more. I may not go for a whole new bike, but maybe some Zipp's or something along those lines. I'll let you guys know what I decide. Good thing is too you'll only have to pay in Canadian dollars. f.y.i.....We are at 91% exchange rate right now.

Tracy--- Good luck to the DH... Be a good jockstrap this weekend!

Nice reference - one of my top five favorite movies evah!

Tracy - thanks for the permission, I was already heading to the tri-shop after lunch to pick up a swim cap for tomorrow.  First time in the lake and I think it's going to be a bit chilly.

I finished my virtual race this morning with a personal best 5k time of 22:45.  My iPod was dead this morning, so I ran sans music.  I think I paid a lot more attention to my breathing because of it.

Has anyone had any issues w/ Motion Based lately?  I can't get it to upload from my Garmin.  I can upload my routes to BT, so it isn't device, laptop or user related.  What was the other site people are using - sport tracks? training peaks?

Have a good weekend everyone - as Steve said we're having awesome weather out here in the PNW.

So any interest in extending the deadline another week or so for the virtual tri?

I still need a run and ride in and we have had thunderstorms just about every afternoon this week so I havent' had a chance to get my bike ro run in yet.

Going to try again today but it is super sticky out now feels like we are going to get more of the same today.

Should be able to get it in this weekend but just in case....

Trevor,

It was great stuff... I was sponsored by them for 3 years, and loved there stuff.  A couple things I didn't like was the powder "FAST CHARGE" it had 2400mg of Amino Acids but tasted like rubbish, and the gel packets used to be HUGE.  Almost to the point where it was hard to carry them (and was only 120 calories).  The Amino Vital PRO was my favorite (Grape Flavor).  It was such a treat, and did wonders.  I was fortunate never to have to pay for anything (and still have a ton of stuff from them), but if I recall it was pretty expensive.

I know use (just like most people I think) Infinit Nutrition (mixed w/ Carbo PRO).....

According to my MG race calendar I see that Andy is doing a bike race tomorrow, Trevor a sprint, and then on Sunday we have Stan and Jeremy with sprints and Holly with the porta poopy water olympic.   Did I miss anyone?  Best of luck to all our fabulous racers.  Have a great time.  I'll be leaving work early today to travel to the hubby's race.  It was odd watching him pack last night and not feeling the same pre-race anxiety.  He is doing his first olympic of the season (second ever) and set a very aggressive time goal for himself (2:45).  Please send him speed vibes this weekend.

As a treat for all our hard work on our virtual sprint,  I think we've all earned a new piece of equipment.  Be it a new pair of socks or a new bike frame.  Treat yourselves well.  Smile

Unfortunately due to family issues, I have to bag my bike rally tomorrow.   I will instead ride 60 miles in and around home base.   It will be less scenic, but I will still get the training done.

Yes.... Tony extend it out 2 more weeks.  June 14th?  This is no rush... Supposed to be fun.

Matt... What lake are you swimming in?  Everything around here is warming up nicely!  I think you should be ok.  Much warmer than last year.  As for your Garmin- I use Motionbase, and have had no issue's lately.... UH-OH?

Havin'Fun - 2009-05-27 7:57 AM Who's racing this weekend?

Who has really cool plans for the weekend?

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!  Tracy... best to Doug!

I have a long OWS this afternoon.

Short run tomorrow, t-ball game, then cooking 270 pounds of crawfish for my neighbors daughter HS graduation.  Basically standing around the boil pot all afternoon drinking beer paying no attention to the all 18 year olds running around the pool in bikinis.  I'll take plenty of pictures for ya Steve!

EDIT>>> No Trevor you can't come over!!!

Sunday, either a 44 or 68 mile ride w/ some folks training for CDA.

Have a great weekend all!

Matt-  No can do... Off to Chelan, but post in your log's your thoughts on Temp... I am due for a trip to B-Ham.... Love to know how it is, but I am sure you are going to be fine....

John- I just don't think that is right.  At least you slide in the 18 yr old factor!  I feel much better know, so I guess pictures would be ok... If you deem necessary Wink!  I think Crawfish feeds/boils are entertaining in themselve!  It cost about $10 per pound for crawfish up here, but man is it good!!!  I have to drive about 30 minutes each way to get me some of that stuff, but worth the trip!!  Have a great time!

LOL, I could do my 12 mi ride on the CT, I can average in the 27+ range for 12 miles on that, would be a speedy ride then.

I am fine with extending it, but I want it to go through 6/7 if we do.  That is my first Oly and it would give me a chance to beat my run time which kind of sucked.
