BTW, since this is BT, anyone got any OWS hints for me? I messed up that portion of my race yesterday. It is really different without a wetsuit.... I'm thinking of attending a OWS clinic, but don't know what to expect. Has anyone been to one?

How/why do you feel that you "messed it up?" Basically, the key to open water swimming is to just, well, practice it lots. Start out where the water is flat and calm. Then when you're comfortable with that, go to someplace where it's choppier/more wavy. Get used to breathing on either side. This helps you breathe away from the chop. Also, you can sight the shoreline to gauge your distance.

I have to agree with Dee and Erica.  Practice, practice, practice.

2 questions:

Are these those ice cream cone cupcakes that you talked about earlier and are you making enough for the entire team?

Hi everyone.

Though I would check in since I haven't been around much.  Found out Friday Night that my Heart MurMur is inocent.  Best news I have heard in months.  Now if I can only get my lungs back to 100% I will be set.  Tuesday I will see how good they are since I am running my PFT which is 3 miles as fast as I can.  Until this issue I am usually under 21:30 and closer to 20 even.  I am expecting around 23 or so.

I got a question for everyone. Here's the profile of next week's triathlon. This is one lap, we have to do it three times. With that hill on a sprint course would you go with the tri bike or the road bike? I am wondering if I would be better with aero or light ...

Yay for good health news!!  Good luck on your PFT.  In the Navy they only have to run 1.5 miles.  Hmmmm, I think the Navy is a bit on the weenie side!

Can you mount a video camera at about the 3.5 km mark?

(Can't answer the tri or road bike question. But I would like to see everyone's faces just before they hit the top of the hill on the 3rd lap.)

I think we have a few people who aren't updating the spreadsheet. (But hopefully are running.)

If they've been running but not updating, I'll taser them.

If they haven't even been running, I'll taser AND cattle prod them.

I'm a giver like that.
