I'm trying to catch up on everything I missed. I hear there is some kind of challenge going on? Oh! I'm feeling a lot better. Some allergies, but that's because I'm around the cats again after a few days. My hips were fine the whole time I was gone even with all the walking. After one day home, it hurts. I think it's my mattress. Is that at all possible?

Abberlutely.

Supportive mattress, pillow that holds head in neutral position, and if on your side, pillow between the legs and possibly a boyfriend pillow between the arms. I have no idea what that's called in the States.

None of that's going to hurt (mattresses can be expensive unless they're futons), and if you're having problems, definitely worth a try.

So, my friend was dating the booty pillow model for a while.

Talk about bragging rights.

I am sure this could help your hips somehow or another ...

Hmmm, I wonder if enough Manatees got together for a Ragnar.......

I'd be so down for this.

But I did warn you about my stench.

Just because EVERYBODY is dying to know (if you were here, you'd just be dying) ... the good news is that my unanticipated chili explosions have ceased.

The bad news is that I'm ripping ginormous farts that smell like burnt plastic. Far more noxious than run-of-the-mill sulphurous or even canine-style farts. They're making my eyes water.

huh, sounds like one way to lose 4 lbs. or kilos or stones

Chris - answering your 'how to create a Strava segment' question:

First, open the ride or run you want to add a segment for.  Do this by bringing up your Dashboard, then scroll down your list of activities and click on the one you want.

Once the page for the activity is open, scroll down below the elevation profile of the ride and click the blue 'Create a segment' button (bottom right of elevation pic).  From there, follow the on screen directions.  It may take a little playing around with the slider to get the start/stop part you want.  It's pretty handy that it shows both an overhead map and the elevation profile, probably to help folks make segments from hills.

It can be fun to see how you measure up to yourself on certain rides, and yeah, just ignore all the super speedsters   although it's still fun to look at their times and dream.

If you have any other questions I will try to answer them.  Not a Strava pro by any means, but I can get around in there OK.  You are welcome to 'friend' or 'follow' (or whatever it's called in there) me if you like, look for Melanie Payton.  I don't have a pic because I'm a dork.  Guess I should work on that.  The pic, not being a dork.  I don't think there is a cure for dorkiness.

Cool!  I accepted you and hope you accept me as well, LOL!  For some reason the last time I did a large Garmin activity import it didn't seem to find my activities from the winter, or pre-March.  Do you have any idea why?  Guess I could poke around a little more, or maybe it wil only look back so many months to import activities, IDK.  Also, randomly, some guy in Spain who I don't know wants to follow me?  I think I will decline...how the heck did he even find me?!

We refer to Stevie as the elusive yellow seal and when she farts, which is extremely often, we refer to it as the call of the elusive yellow.

Another Strava question. The last couple of weeks I've done a ride- run brick. When I upload to Strava it combines the 2 into one bike event. That, obviously, really affects the avg pace. Anyone know how to stop that from happening? Neither garmin or BT have any problem recognizing the two separate activities, but Strava does. I emailed Strava, but haven't heard back yet.

Oh no!  I hope that it's not completely torn.  Hannah (@ rainbow bridge) had that and she went to doggie PT.  She did compete in agility for a while after that but it started to act up again so she did a shorter course of PT and was retired.

OK, I'm killing time waiting for my nightly work and Strava Stalking. You may have been followed by Chris Banting, or have a request from me.

Originally posted by amd723 Another Strava question.

How are you recording in the first place? I see this happen when some people run their races. It'll show up as one long s/b/r because they record it as such in a 310 or 910. Not sure how to fix it after.

I have completely separate devices for each part, so it's not an issue for me.

I followed you. Mine says TJ Rrrunner. Not sure if that's how to find me

Thanks a ton!, I'll work on it and I'll find and follow both of you as well.

Sent a request to both. Chris, you'll have to look me up, or give me your username. I'm under my name, Darren Richards, I think, or might be same name as on here.
Ok, I sent all of you a follow request. Think it comes up as Ann-Marie or maybe Ann-Marie D. Chris, I didn't know your user name, so I can't stalk you.

I'm in there too, but only put up the "fun" rides where I travel, or races.

When I switch from the bike to run, I stop the bike timer and change over to run in the 310 menu and then hit start.
