I'm actually coming back in two weeks, but I can't bear to leave any of the goodies behind. What if they go bad? Shouldn't you be sleeping? Oh yeah, did you get your mug back? I was just going to post that, well, at least I've packed my mug! Kirsten did say to always pack the most important thing first. Or something like that. I had to trade my mom a race shirt for it. Huh. I must have missed that, I was distracted... Speaking of distraction I began reading 50 Shades of Grey and my Kindle battery died. Sigh. Speaking of distraction ... from packing ... I have REALLY got to pack. The sun came up, my keyboard is covered in chocolate cake crumbs, and my nethers are completely smooth. Dog helping with the crumbs? No, forget i said that. |

Member 892 England | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty RidiculoSnarky Almost Intelligent-Charming Manatees PART 4 - Full Hi everyone, despite rumours to the contrary, i did complete the Oly and have written up my RR only for my computer to decide to log me off for updates before i could upload, so i lost it. In true dogged reporter style, i was determined to allow the truth to flourish and sat furiously typing, sweat dripping down my back, under a hot mediterranean sun, with only a cold beer to keep me from total collapse. Masterpiece finished, i clicked save, knowing that all the world was about to be enlightened when my pooter told me it had lost the internet connection. I tried to retrieve my life's work, but to no avail. Gone forever in cyber-space. I don't have time to re-type it yet due to my impending boat trip (round the bay) but fear not, the truth will out dear friends! Hope you are all keeping well. My love goes out to all of you having a hard time right now, and you guys in the south please keep safe from that hurricane. |

Poor little Artemis is unwell - sent home from school a bit of a stomach flu/gastro bug going round the school - awesome. I am disinfecting everything she touches! Oh well if I get it at least I lose a couple of pounds.... Oh and FYI - would be four if my little one wasn't sick and if it hadn't started raining!!!! When am I ever going to get out on the bike! |

Pennsylvania | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty RidiculoSnarky Almost Intelligent-Charming Manatees PART 4 - Full Allen! Great to hear you are still with us! Sorry to hear you are having major technology issues that is keeping us from your delightful, entertaining RR. Never give up! Jo: hope your little one gets well soon. Stomach bug, ugh and ick! Welcome back to school where germs run rampant. Yanti: smart move swapping Mutti a shirt for the mug. She sounds so adorable. Salty: yes, the race with Salty in the name needs to be an A race. 'Nuf said. Brie: best of wishes recovering from your massage. That just sounds wrong! So I went for a run on the trail on the way to the pool last night. Good times both places. Loved the run, as usual, on the trail. Many folks were out enjoying it, which I always like to see, and I felt good the whole time. Could I actually be getting a little better at running?!?! Then at the pool a piglet hottie asked to share my lane...well sure, come right on in!!! I noticed my tempo was much faster than usual, and why not with such lovely eye candy occupying the same 2m x 25m space with me! MUCH better than the geezers (no offense meant, I do love old people) that I usually have to share with. I was pretty shot in the arse by the time my last set came around (and my motivation in the form of hottie piglet) was gone, but I persevered and finished solidly. Coach Randy told Coach Andie that I have a beautiful stroke, but that he can't figure out why it's not efficient :-( I agree on both! Allen I was thinking about you last night while I was running--I have blisters on both my arches, and I told myself to HTFrogUp and just get running. Melanie, I wish I had more piglettes at swimming--I think they don't get up til later though. Although I did chat with one woman this am with a lovely British accent and the most beautiful curly hair. TJ, glad to hear you continue with Masters, and I am sure Coach Randy and Andie (hahahaha Randy Andie) will figure your stroke out in time. |

What's up with that? Also, I suppose the piglettes need their beauty rest. Perhaps you should switch to PM swimming |

My feet (and legs, and back, and everything) are happier in them, but my feet take a few weeks to get used to them. I have high arches, orthotics I guess sit a bit higher in these shoes? Has happened every time I have gotten them. Kinda like when I put my skates on for the first time each season I get blisters. Possibly partly because I was running on trails this weekend too. But everything else is sooooooooooo good about them. Lights shine and angels sing when I slide my feet in them. And PM swimming has too many flailers. |

I kept getting a blister on my left arch, so I finally got some new socks that seem to be helping. Until they heal, you could try covering them with moleskin so there is less friction on the skin when you run. |
