Had a bike planned for today, but got stuck in town till late. I'm Dragging my husband out for a ride tomorrow though (about 30-40K) so that will kick up my bike percentage.

- Woohoo, a fellow 5am'er :-) I usually get to the Gym in the morning at 5.30 so I know your pain... There's something quite calming about being the only one out on the road at that time though. It's all 'quiet-like'.

Good luck for the weekend everyone :-)

I slacked this morning, and didn't get on the bike until 5:30... does that count?

As for me this weekend, I am heading down to the lake called Elephant Butte in South Central New Mexico (about 2.5hr drive for me).

I am going to visit some good friends and get a long run and hopefully get in some open water swim practice....but the water is still pretty cold at this time of year and I have not been able to invest in a wetsuit yet.....soooooo I will have to imagine I am back in my homeland of Scotland at the beach and grit my teeth and go for it!! But I suppose the runs will feel nice after that since the temp is supposed to be 72degF (22degC) on Sunday.

Hopefully I can get some pics over the weekend and post em when I get back on Sunday night together with some good training in my log.

How about everyone else?

Sounds gorgeous - Love NM desert landscape! Hope you have great time!

Janine and Brian - Seems like you should get double points and benefit if you get up that early - don't you agree!???

Have a great weekend..

If all goes well, I'm doing my 2 hour run tomorrow morning before work @ 5am and maybe a swim later in the day, saturday another 1:10 minute run and another swim, and Sunday, if the rain holds out, I'm going to get my 3 hour bike ride in on my freshly tuned-up bike. Tonight I'm going to try and get another strength session in, too. A fun filled weekend. Today is beautiful here in the Phila area but it isn't supposed to stay like this all weekend. Rain is in the forecast

No races on the horizon, though...

Hope the forecast is dead wrong and you get a nice sunny weekend for all your plans/training!

Oh well, Just found out my lake trip will have to be postponed this weekend since I just heard that my friends I was going to visit and stay with have came down with a heavy cold/flu and are feeling like crap. SO it looks like my plans for a fun weekend and some OWS practice at the lake are off.

Looks like I will be at home dealing with the every increasing wind blowing the sand around.....gotta love the desert heat and hate the sand!

Anyway looks like I am rebuilding my plans for a 3 day weekend!

Hope everybody else's weekend it getting off to a better start than mine is :-(

Train hard and have fun

Well, at least if you go later in the year the water will be a little warmer. hope you have a good weekend after all.

Just finished my ride. Think Tim got a bit of a shock though. He hasn't been on a bike for a few years. I've promised to go fishing with him later to make up for the hill I made him bike up (about 100m). Maybe while I'm at the beach I can get some swimming in ;-)

Hey Pumpkins! My weekend did not workout as planned, as a matter of fact I didn't workout at all!! . Caught some kind of virus and have been in bed since wee hours of Saturday morning.  Hope to shake it today and start climbing up that ambitious hill called Biking Hours I have laid out in front of me.

Team - I am going to e-mail Jen, but I think I need to bow out of this month's challenge.  My foot is not getting any better and I've even been hesitant to bike on it because I'm scared of trying to stop on it.  I'm working on a doc's appointment for sometime this week and hopefully I'll be back up and at em for May's challenge.

My weekend didn't go as planned but I managed to get my long run in and a decent longer ride in; although not as long as intended.

I hope everyone starts feeling better soon.

I'm sorry to lose Kim for the month.  Hopefully she'll continue to be a cheerleader while she is recovering.

I did change your spreadsheet so that Kim's totals are not included in your team progress, although she does still show up on the spreadsheet.

I will cheer!  I thought about reducing it, but I think I'm just going to take some time to see a doc and see about getting better.  I know how I am, I'd push myself too hard to meet the goal and mess myself up.

Sorry to lose you, Kim. But I'm glad to hear that you are taking care of yourself to get well, that's most important.
Thanks for cheering us on!

I missed about an hour on the bike this weekend, but I'll make it up this week. Got 3000 meters in the pool in this morning, so things are looking pretty good for me.

I have some serious yards to make up this week to stay on top of my goal.  I did 1800 today at lunch.  Did one 30 minutes less than planned on the bike, but the weather is starting to look much better I'm a little behind on my run also but only by a hair.  I will try and make that up today

 Let's  get 'em pumpkins!!!

Come on pumpkins! We've slipped from 3rd to 4th. We can do better than this! HTFU!

I need to take some of my own advice. Despite my disappointment at the loss of 5 days of training in China I'm slowly digging out of the hole I'm in. Currently I'm about 3 miles of running and 30 miles of biking behind. Luckily I'm just under a 1000 yards ahead in swimming because I didn't have but one missed swim workout missed last week and that was a short one. I should be able to make this up by the end of the month but I'm probably a large portion of why we slipped a spot in the rankings. Sorry

Wow, I go to sleep for 6 hours and miss so much!!

Kimmi - Sorry to hear about your foot :-( look forward to hearing some cheers though :-)

1st timer - hope you feel better, I know how awful it is training when you don't feel well :-(

For the rest of you pumpkins...

We can do it! We are not called the persistant pumpkins for nothing. we shall persevere and we shall prevail! So keep plodding, paddling and pumping those pedals (or Iron as the case may be) and our pain shall be rewarded.

Sorry about the aliteration, I was feeling poetic ;-)

I have a 1200m Swim planned for tonight after work, and a bike that I'm logging now

Keep it up everyone!
