My 7 yr old is a girl, so I was getting that string of chatter 3 years ago.  Nice to know I will have that to look forward to with my little boy later when I can understand him better.

yeah, i have a girl too (almost 4) so she's non stop. sometimes when we're in the car, i BEG for just 5 minutes of no talking, and my 7 year old boy will actually watch the clock, and the SECOND 5 minutes are up, he tells his sister they can start up again, and it's off we go!! LOL
my baby is a boy, so hopefully, i have a LITTLE while before he joins the fray.

g'morning pineapples, i'm not feeling super motivated just now, but dh is kind of pushing me to go out, which is probably a good thing. so i'm going to go suit up, it's only about 35 degrees out, then i'll probably just do a quick jaunt through the neighborhood.

anyone else out there this morning??

Well, I tried the password on Google and it logs in but to a blank page, not the spreadsheet. Could be my bad internet connection. I'll try again Monday at work.

Sorry to have missed so much training! I've been sick...hoping it's not bronchitis. I will definitely be out today kayaking and want to get on the bike as well.

Hey guys,

I hope you are all out there getting some great workouts in this weekend. I also hope the weather is a heck of a lot better than it is here in South Dakota. We have had several inches of snow and it is killing me. I am hitting the road again for work tomorrow and should be driving into some better weather so I can get a nice ride or two in within the next few days. It may look as though I am a bit behind the curve but rest easy, I knew I would be on the road a lot for the first part of the month and am sticking pretty close to the planned schedule and should be making a surge on my numbers here in the next week or so. Keep up the great work and have some fun while you are at it.

Hey there,

Guess were supposed to report race times on the thread for our gracious captain.

Had a 5 mile race today that I did in 37:59

Warm up and cool down was 34:08 so total run time today was 72:07.....

Think I will have to put in 5k tomorrow to reach my weekly mileage goal.

i ran this morning, and tomorrow i think i have to take my 14 year old nephew out running, he's trying to get the presidental fitness award thing, and has to run a mile in 8 minutes i think, he tried and missed it by like 90 seconds, so he asked me if i'd take him out, and make him go fast!! LOL (clearly he's never seen me actually RUN LOL)
other than that, i'm going to try to get on the bike a bit tomorrow, since that's where my numbers are lacking at this point. i DID get another core workout today too, so i have much to add to the spreadsheet at THIS point.

nice race scott! great job!!

go pineapples go!!

Got my long run in this morning. Haven't really enjoyed these lately. I think I have been running them too hard so today I consciously slowe myself down and enjoyed it much more. Insead of listening to music I listened to a book which  didn't get me pumped so I just ambled along. I enjoyed it.

Request to drop from the challenge this month. Foot is not cooperating and I really need to listen to the dr. and let it heal properly. Thought I was going to be able to do the race. Dr. said he would let me because the damage would not be permanent but it would set me back. Considering how i am still having major pain 7 days after tennis, i think I would be STUPID to do the race next weekend and then try to do the rest of my goals too. So rather than pull the team down with me not being sure of what I will be able to accomplish, I respectfully withdraw.

I've been gone this weekend, so I'll be comparing your logs to the spreadsheet late this evening. If you have time to do them yourselves, please remember that your race distances or times count as double for this challenge. If anyone is still having a hard time getting into the spread, please let me know.

Signed, Cap'n Pineapple.

Artemis - 2008-04-11 8:23 AM Just a quick reminder to update your totals in the team spreadsheet by the end of the day on Sunday.

I have not had any luck getting to the spreadsheet. Does that mean my times aren't getting added?

I made sure your logs matched the spreadsheet last week.

Yay, I PRd my swim time! 1000 yds in 16:55. I was shooting for 1:40:00 at this race, and my official time shows me at 1:38:50. My swim was in the top for my age group, my bike average, and my run still stunk. I'm starting to believe I do have EIA, and I should use the inhaler my doc. gave me. I have plenty to work on! I filed a race report, if anyone is interested.

Thanks so much! I'll try to access it at work tomorrow. I did finally get back into training today! Woo hoo! Now I'm tapering for a race Sunday. Always seems weird to "taper" after a week when I've been sick and missed most of my training!

Don't consider it a taper then, think of it as a slow rebuild to race day!  Have a great week and race next week.

I love books on tape. I am always listening to them while I drive but have never tried it during a workout. Great idea, I will have to give it a shot.

Is it working for you that I am in Mountain Time, and therefore the 'end of the day' is in Mountain Time? Thanks!
