That's not true!!! All you Europeans are high class to me! And I will. I actually didn't do the Stretch. Thought it was more prudent to rest, and I did. (till almost 2 pm this afternoon)

I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So my first triathlon is THIS SATURDAY..its no longer a distant goal in the future, it is THIS weekend. I am freaking out!!! What am I thinking..why did I sign up for it...oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was fine until I looked at pictures from last year's event...didnt see ANYONE that can stand to lose another 10- 20 pounds!!! No I will be the big whale plodding along, body parts jiggling...I am not so sure about that pretty triathlon suit anymore...ugh! maybe I should wear a t-shirt over it...so the rolls get covered up....sigh! its self sabotage..i know, but it doesnt help knowing what I am doing..I am still freaking out :-(

I am freaking out about basically EVERYTHING having to do with my race...sigh!!!

Help!!!!!

Well first of all, you're not a whale!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Secondly, this race isn't a fashion show. Don't worry about who's got a prettier bathing suit, get to work and finish. That's really all that matters, other than not hurting yourself during the race! You'll do great, ok?!?!?!?!?

So last night I skipped the stretch routine, though I know it's as important as any other. It's just they give you the choice to stretch on your rest day or to rest. I chose to rest and thought that I could make it up, because I think it's important. Anyhow, I just did the chest, shoulders and tri's routine and then an ab routine. Technically this past wk was a rest wk or recovery wk. Though most of it was packed with cardio style training, and a bunch of yoga, and then yesterday was first day back to lifting and routines geared like they were in the first 3 wks. This afternoon I woke up kind of sore because I haven't been lifting for about a wk, and I'm kind of regretting skipping the stretch now. I guess I'll live.

Also I don't think I'll be able to get to the scale tomorrow so I'm posting yesterdays (tuesday's) instead. Last wk I think it was at 188.2 and this wk. 190.2 for a +2 gain. Not sure if it's water, muscle or whatnot, but I guess we'll see when I get pix posted in just a day or so. Technically I'm supposed to take them tonight, and we'll see if I get to it in time, for I have to be up again by 5-6 am for another go'round with the fence and deck I'm helping to build.

P.s. Saling--

Every month or so you post wkly changes and monthly reports for our weights that we supply (data points) do you store them past 1 month??? If so are they in a spreadsheet of some sort? And if so is it possible to get an average (wkly weight) for the past 6 months (since 1st wk of Jan--day I started the P90 program) ??? Trying to gauge how much I've lost (fat), how much I've gained (muscle), and how much I've stayed the same (weight). I do know i started back then around 195-6 ish... Thanx.

Oh well, at least I'm betting that it was a good concert, and you probably deserved a good night out. And at the very least you got home safely! Back to it tomorrow, or today, depends on what side of midnight you're on!!!

Instead of Shermi, call me a failure!!!! I just posted Day 30 Pix... Under P90X, and they're nothing to shake a stick at compared to day 1. Although, I did eat dinner really late and was kind of bloated still, after my routine tonight. Had to drink tons of water as I was off kilter tonight jumping back into plyometrics training... This month I need to concentrate much harder on my nutrition... I need to be held accountable!!! And then again, compared to my first round with the other training program (P90 not the X) I didn't really see many results till after day 60, so.... (check out P90 album first then see P90X album and tell me where you think I'm not concentrating hard enough. From my own perspective, I feel right in-line with the training, and I can see definate improvements on my biceps, traps, tri's, and chest; my abs and quads are mediocre or have pretty much stayed the same as P90 day 90. One other area I see some improvement is the size of my love/hate handles, they're getting smaller. Not hugely small, but smaller than they were. I can definately feel the muscle sheeth, where as before there was a real thick layer of insulation, it's not as thick now!!! I need to be damn determined to make this the best effort possible. Inspire me, hold me accountable, and push me to the XXXX-treme!!!

Hi Everyone- a quick update from my part of Emerald Isle. Number of cold sores: 3 and still going strong also accompanied by a very intersting cough. Finally decided to go to my GP as I've on and off sick for over a month now- turns out I'm worn out and my mono is having a party in my body. SO advised few days of rest, some vitamins etc.- taking the stuff alright but the resting part is not so easy with all the conference coming up (working at organising it and a few people already came over so it's nuts). Feeling guilty because I had to cancel my workouts with Karen this week and feelign gulity in general cos not training but eating crap (bad week for me).

I wanted to sign up for a TRI in Sptember and here are my options:
1) Women's Mini Tri with distances as follows 300m-6km-2km (when enquired a month ago it was 350m-10km-4km).
2) Sprint Tri

Women's Mini Tri really seemed like a great starting point for somebody like me- new and scared to death but after they changed the distances I'm not sure anymore. I know it sounds really bad but it wouldn't give me the same feeling of accomplishment as the Sprint one. Then again Sprint freaks me out completly. Anyone hit me in the head.

My first workout with the Tri Club not in my city is on Tuesday- it's a swimming session. I was talking to your man from the club and basically they'll assess my skills, give me a few pointers etc. I'm really looking forward to it.

Forgot to post my whopping .2 loss this morning.

last: 152.4

Today: 152.2

Ceade,  If you are comfortable on the swim I would do the Sprint if not then the mini sprint may be a good practice.

Elektra,  Good job on the loss.

Well, just because you're sick and not training for a few days doesn't mean you can't eat fairly healthy. Just try to stick to the other side of the lifestyle!!! Good luck on tuesday too! Let us know how it went, k?

I failed to weigh in this morning. Last night at the Buffett concert was a little too much of a good time. I knew I was in trouble when I went with my dad and he offered to drive home and he told me to have a good time. Surprised Innocent

cead - do the mini.  It'll be fun and just go into it with that mindset.

Last: 235
This: 234

Yay!  moving downwards again.  I'm eating a little more and working out more.  I'm feeling better too - I think I was just too low on calories and it worked great at first, we'll see how it's working now, but hey, a pound is a pound, so I'm happy.

I MIGHT be doing a super sprint this weekend - but I gotta decide fast, otherwise it'll be full.

Then a sprint in July.  That'll be really hot though - so I better start getting acclimated.
