33 here (until October). As far as my 2.89 miles goes, I run usually on time and go from my route tracker from there for distance, unless I am on the treadmill then I do the time at pace thing.

We don't have that wide of a range of ages, only 27 to 41.

Some days I just feel older than others. It doesn't help that I work with a lot of people right out of college and those 23 year-olds seem a lot younger than me at 29.

I would still end up making sure that the route ends up being a round number. Maybe I'm just weird.

3.87 today, my first sub 10min mile run in a long long time. I did it without even trying, just felt really good today.

(3.88 for Philly) Foot in mouth

phillybarb - 2008-09-10 7:56 PM Do you guys realize how odd your mileage is? Jen, you ran 4.13 miles. Darren, I think it was you that ran 3.89 miles, and there are others that are the same way. I don't have much to say, except that it is odd to me. I have to run even numbers.

ha, that makes me laugh, I usually dont even look at my final distance or time. Sometimes I find I am like 12.99 km, and I am like, that is silly, or I am at like 59 minutes and I am like, that is silly, just another minute.

Anyways, hopefully will get a short run in tommorow.

Nothing like doubling your distance half way into the month!   Have a great run Darren!

BTW, just for Barb, after deciding to run longer than my initial plan today, I was thinking the entire run on the treadmill if I should stop on some totally weird number for mileage.  But, I hit 4.75 right at 41 minutes so stopped there.   Maybe should have just gone a few more steps to have it roll to 4.76.

Good luck on the 26.2!  I'm sure you'll do great.  I'm looking forward to my first one next year... thinking about that helps with the boredom of the dreadmill.

Had a decent run today... 4.72 miles.  Since the knee won't let me run fast, all I've got is long slow distance.  I think this pace is a step or two below conversational pace...  I could sing along with my ipod quite easily, 48 minutes into the workout.  Faster runs will come soon enough, I guess, as long as the knee stays happy.  I'm almost caught up to where I need to be for the month, also.  Looks like it takes more than a little case of ITBS to bring down the Chanticleers!

See, isn't 4.75 a much nicer number than 4.76?
