Master 1210 Saskatchewan | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hey all! I'm hanging in there. I started slowly, but I'll be up to par at the finish line. Especially, since I got into a running groove and I'm making it to Masters swim. Watch me roar!
Now, off to run.................. |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! I am back on my plan--but I don't think there is any way that I can catch up on my run milage. The swim and bike sessions i can do easily--since they are in sessions and not yardage or mileage. But the run was based exactly on what my plan said, and I missed an entire week. I pm'd jen, but haven't had any response on if I can adjust my goal or not. And I'm not going to be able to update the spreadsheet until sometime Sunday. I'm not sure when, though, since I will be working and if the shift goes anything like Saturday's shift I won't be home until Monday. Seriously. In better news, I got in a 5 mile run/walk today! I think I've only run that far once before-and I'm not sure it was a full 5 miles like today was. And I got in bike session #2 out of 3. One more week to go! |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! I doubt I will make up my goals with only 5 days left, for that I am very sorry to the team. Next month if any of you are on my team I will not be the let down I promise. I will see what I can do for the remainder of the month but I am still very far from hitting the numbers that I would need, with approx 40 miles run and 75 miles bike. The swim I am right on track to close out. |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Jenny PM me back about the illness credit and she said it OK to make adjustment to goals for illness. Once you know what that is she said to let her know and she will adjust the spreadsheet. Well just got back from my ride and just realized I complete my bike goal, so now I have the rest of the week to catch up on the others! |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hi Dee, we have had a couple of illness this month for stick to the plan challenge, what did we use in the past for that adjustment? I am on team Lincoln, Jenny said it was ok to make adjustment due to illness but I don't know what to tell them what that is? Adjust as a percentage: (Days in month - days missed) / days in month For example, say someone missed 5 days in February (which has 28 days): (28 total - 5 missed) = 23 days that they COULD work out.... 23 / 28 days total = 0.82 Then reset their goal to 82% of the original: (Original goal) times 0.82, to get the revised goal. In case you were wondering how to adjust! |

Pro 4353 Wallingford, PA | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! WEEK 3 CHALLENGE UPDATE Here are the current standings. Please note that the percentage for Team Edison includes some workouts entered for week 4, and I didn't have the time or energy to go back and calculate the actual percentage at the end of week 3. So... the Team Edison value is a bit of an over-estimate for end of week 3 - but - SHEESH!! What a bunch of OVERACHIEVERS! 1ST PLACE: Team Edison - 91.22% 2ND PLACE: Team Washington - 69.51% 3RD PLACE: Team Lincoln - 56.5% 4TH PLACE: Team Galileo One more week to go, everyone! Keep up the good work!!! |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hey team. So as previously warned, math is not my specialty so while I undercalculated my bike hours for the month, I grossly overcalculated my swim yardage. I had to take a bunch of drills and time estimates and try to figure out an overall goal and it looks like I was wrong. Because of that, I'll come close to 100% but won't make it. My coach isn't letting me add any extra workouts this week because I'm heading into my next build phase for my HIM. I also missed a long run last week and cannot make that up either. Sorry |

Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! Hi everyone! So sorry, but there is no possible way I will be making my goals for this challenge. Looking back on it I really set my goals too high and didn't allow for any deviations from my plan. I don't think the illness adjustment will work for me because I did train throughout my illness just not as much as was on my plan. I am training hard and will try to get as close as I can, but I'm still going to fall pretty short. I did complete my longest run ever on Sunday... 17 miles! Woo Hoo! |

Master 1567 Kauai, Hawaii | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! I think everyone is doing great! It wouldn't be called a challenge if it wasn't! I will be close too, it was really hard to stick to my plan. I didn't not fuel properly for my am run, felt my sugar dropping in the middle of it, I have to get a quick am low sugar grab item that I can eat. |

I just seriously miscalculated and between that and the rain, I am just not going to get it all in. Sorry to all. I have never missed a challenge, but I just can't do this one this month. No illness to adjust for. Oh well. |

Pro 4608 Brooklyn, NY | Subject: RE: Team Lincoln - Stick to the Plan! I swam yesterday per the plan. So looking at my total, even if I hadn't missed a swim last week, I wouldn't have made my goal due to my horrible math. Same with the run. I would have been 5 miles short. It's because my coach gives me minutes and intervals and I had to do a lot of guessing. Oh well. While I'm not allowed to deviate and add things in, I think I will sneak a swim in but take it easy. I felt sloppy in the water yesterday due to lack of swimming and feel like another session would really help. |

That is why I choose to do my goals based on time, My coach gives us certian things that may take more or less time! I have been using her since last year so I judge my goal time by the last month and then try to add more time so it is a challenge. I wish march had another one of these, I tried the peach challenge but my mind needs a total rest from all exercise even 10 minutes! You did great anyways, and awsome 1/2 Mary, it must be good to do that in the cold. |

I am not worried. I have found if I don't participate I easily procrastinate and don't put in enough time. That is why we motivate each other. I will make my goals this month and It is right down to the end but I feel maybe I didn't make them hard enough. But then again I don't want it to make me stressed out either... I am rambling..... |
