This is as close as I've ever been to someone who actually owned a medal that said 1st on it. Hi My Friends! I finished my du. Wow, what a day. Won my age group! Yea. Not that there was a ton of competition for the ladies (but lots of men though, yea baby!). Hard work, but worth the effort, my race report is posted. You all have been so supportive, what a great group of people! Now, some rest and more food. So how was the new bike? |

Expert 1007 Hattiesburg, Mississippi | Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II The new bike is great. I am still building confidence on it, so I have more to learn in being good at shifting. There were lots of hills so I did lots of fast shifting, but want to get better at taking advantage of the downhills. Also, this ride has a carbon frame, so it's much lighter than my old one and with a different center of gravity, getting up on the pedals on the big hills was more squirrelly than I am used to so I need to work on that. My new Speedplay pedals are great and easy to use. I am happy I used it for this race! Edited by blujay65 2009-03-21 7:03 PM |

I want to take a nap. Maybe I should make some coffee. Going to bike at some point today. how long you goin for? Training plan says 1h15m, so I'm going to try to do that as much of that as I can. It's a little chilly here for me to want to ride outside (yes, I am a wimp now), so I'll just do it on the trainer. Plus, that gives me some more flexibility as to when I do it. I guess I'm a wimp too cause I did my 2 hours on the trainer. It was just a bit too chilly this morning for me. I will suck it up and ride outside tomorrow morning though. I can only handle so much trainer time! I'm thinking that I might be able to pull of a few hours on the trainer... I didnt get to watch any of my tv shows this week... so now I can watch and ride Besides it's windy here and supposed to snow tomorrow.... |

You deserve a rest after yesterday! I'm heading out for a bike ride in a few minutes. It's a fabulous day in northwest Florida -- a little windy but it's supposed to warm up to the low 70s with low humidity. Sounds like a peachy day to me! |

It's 52 here, which can be warm enough to ride in outside. I'm just being lazy and not digging out all the warm clothes. i hear ya both on the cold weather - im a wuss as well. it has to be at least 50 before i consider riding outside, or at least in the high 40s on its way to being 50... running outside when its cold is one thing, but riding....quite another |
