Veteran 369 Fairbanks | Subject: RE: The Power Rangers TriAya - 2009-04-08 11:12 PM Hi Kris! Highlight the table (CTRL-C, copy), click on Settings at the top of the page. Then click on Training Log Customization, then click on Goals. If you want the table to appear on the left of your log, paste (CTRL-V) it under Short Term Goals. If you want it to appear on the right, paste it under Long Term Goals. Hope that helps! Thanks Yanti!! I think it's working I should think of some other goals to put in... now that I can find it! I have a gym session scheduled this afternoon... the next day of my 5K training plan and some strength training. I'm going with a friend so that makes plodding around in circles a little less monotonous. |

Master 1790 | Subject: RE: The Power Rangers Hoping to get in some bike rides this long weekend, but they are calling for rain Friday AND Saturday. UGH! So if it's raining tomorrow, I'll ride the drainer again. I didn't want to ride on Sunday, but that may be my only opportunity weather-wise. Have some more foot pain from my run tonight ... I probably went too fast, even though I didn't even break a sweat. Ugh. |

My wife took a job in a VERY small town so we moved to Western Kansas. I don't know if you have heard about Western Ks. Farm communities everywhere, which I enjoy, but nobody thinks about exercise. I stopped training when we moved. The time off has helped me recover but now it's time to get back after it. |

Elite 3067 Cheesehead, WI | Subject: RE: The Power Rangers El Flaco - welcome and your move reminds me of how I felt when I first moved to WI. I remember flying in week after week for work (prior to actual move) and thinking - DANG it snows here LOTS and there are lots of farms! And never in my dreams had I even thought of visiting this state let alone moving to it. LOL. Funny thing was I didn't even realize there was a lake because it was covered with snow. And your goal is awesome. A goal is a great motivator to me regardless if its swim, bike or run or just keeping away from massive quantities of ice cream. Put one foot in front of the other...bring the body and the mind will follow! Updating my stuff now...more later for bike. |

I would highly recommend you join a running club , even if you need to drive an hour , and run with them once a week. You will meet other runners who are like you and interested in achieving very cool goals like a 3 hour Mary . I was hesitant to join my local club , but i am so glad i finally did . I met some very interesting people who share the same goals as myself . And i have been improved so much as a runner . Wichita has a running club http://www.runwichita.org/group_runs.php Andlooks like they are hosting a 10k this sunday , If you want to add some speedwork before your half This could do the trick . |

Maybe ask on the "Training Log & Site Support" forum? I'm sure they can tell you how to reset it, so it shows the current month. |

Or, you can make a side-challenge, with embarrassing consequences if you don't hit your goal. For example, if you don't meet your running goal, you will have to change your avatar to ____(OK, Power Rangers, make some suitably embarrassing suggestions here*)____ for the month of May. (* The photo needs to be acceptable to for a high schooler to view, to pass the "BT acceptability test.) |

I can't remember if I've mentioned this here or not, but I'm looking into buying my own bike - today I borrowed a friends (while he was stuck at work, lol). Having moved from the Wichita area I am very familiar with the Wichita Running Club. Met some of the best people in the world through runs sanctioned by them. Driving the hour and a half back to Wichita wouldn't be fun nor would it be practical. I have actually raced competitively for the running store there for the previous 5 years. This will be the first year I won't be pulling on a team jersey in awhile. I'm just having a hard time getting REstarted. I'm used to training with people at about every workout and now there is nobody in sight! I just assumed if I had somebody holding me responsible it might be easier! Thanks for help guys! New toys are always fun (even if they are not mine). I have so many options, it's overwhelming! My brother is pretty good with bikes, so I sent him some of the choices to see what he thinks; then I have to go and try them out. I'm looking into a type of bike that, apparently, no one can decide what to call; sometimes they're called dualsport, sometimes hybrid, and sometimes another word I can't remember that starts with a 'C'. Basically, I want a bike that I can use to train, and ride back and forth to work, but still be able to go on all the trails that are around here. My top contenders so far are a Gary Fisher line and the Specialized Rockhopper Comp Disc 29, but I definitely haven't decided yet. I'm open to any other thoughts!! |
