Free food is the bane of my life. We have 2-3 coffee mornings a week here from sales reps. I delete notices immediately and never stop by because they have cakes and cheese and none of it is good.

pdbman - 2010-11-04 8:23 AM It seems really quiet. Only 9 pages for three days. Last month we would do that in an afternoon.

Morning Paul - very true! I have to say I quite like the pressure to post being off a bit though. Stops me from talking to myself quite as much....

rh8463 - 2010-11-02 6:21 PM Morning Crushers!

Yay for a new month and a new challenge (well day 3 of it for me...).

Do we have a spreadsheet yet?

Yanti said that she's going to post it tomorrow. She's on your time so maybe tomorrow is today?

Oh cool, just as long as I haven't missed anything....

Hows the new job going?

It's off to a slow start, but good so far. I worked 1 day (in addition to my trial) at my location last week, and trained 2 days at another location because ours doesn't have a kinesiologist other than myself. I am off this week because this is the physiotherapist assistant's last week of internship (free labour, I understand). Next week I start regular 3 days a week shifts and wait for full time which should be coming soon.

Well that sounds good - glad its working out for you! I'm about to sign another contract which will have me safe (bit ridiculously busy) until end of March 2012. Then I think we will apply for permanent residency here so at least I only have jobs to worry about, not visas too!

X2 - add me in.

Should we have a non tri goal to log our food or lose 5 lbs by the end of the month?  I'll support you if you want to support me too

I'm in on that one, too!!

hmmm... now there is a goal I could do too.... 2,5kgs in 3 weeks is 'do-able' maybe

Got a short drainer run in tonight.  Now on to some crunches.  I decided I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to buy a real jump rope to start that goal.  A kid's Disney Princess jump rope will not cut it!!  I won't even count my attempts tonight...

I made home made macaroni and cheese + home made bread tonight for dinner. And I had coke again... 3 days in, all of which included coke.

I'm about 20 pounds lighter than my unhealthiest, but still about 20 to a rockin body. Just want to make myself accountable to get my #($* together. Thanks team!!

McD's fries and tapioca for lunch... pls don't kick me off the team. At least I'm aware that I have a problem and stopped lying to myself about where the weight came from.

Dietary changes require baby steps. I was making progress but have since regressed.

Maybe I should switch out one of my goals for a weight related one... but then I might not succeed...

It's easier to do 12 runs than to promise 5lbs. I would love to lose 5lbs though.

Okay, goals Undecided

1) 20 runs

2) 12 bikes

3) 8 swims

4) 8 core sessions

Once you quit the soda, you'll never go back.  I used to down Mountain Dew by the liter.  Now I can't even drink a single sip of the stuff.  Strangely enough, when I do drink soda it has to be Coke or Cherry Coke.  I can't drink a lot of it but it is delicious.  Maybe they fill it with addictive chemicals to make you crave it nightly.

Food is a freakin struggle for me too. Since we have had our two kids and life has gotten so much busier, I have put on a good 40 pounds in the last 4 years and it is a bit@# to get it back off. Not to mention how much slower I am because of it. I fall to temptation faster than most.

That was my goal in October too, and i actually made it. I made really good progress last month and drop some unneeded lbs along the way so why not keep the motor running and do it again.

They must!! It doesn't help that I don't like water with food either...

Suck it up and drink water for the rest of the month? Maybe that could be put into my challenge goals. It seems a bit rough, but might get me to recovery more quickly. Or, it might make me completely bonkers and impossible to deal with (poor husband).

Have you tried Iced Tea with meals?  You can get a naturally decaffienated tea (like a roobios tea) that will give you some flavor.  You can sweeten with a bit of honey to feed the sweet tooth.

I LOVE POP, SODA call it what you will. I have to be all in or all out. When I drink it, it is all I will drink. Wake up and have 2 20oz dews done in the first hour I am awake.

Can't figure out why I gained all this weight? Undecided  I would end up drinking 150-200 oz in a day of work, no problem. Now that i am back training I had to drop it cold turkey again. The first drink back is always horrible but after a few sips the taste is back.
