I'm off to a great day.  My mom's evening sitter last night was caught drunk (she finished off a bottle of Mom's wine).  The assisted living staff called me with that great news this morning and said the sitter was banned from the facility.   I will need to line up a new, untested and untrained sitter for the holiday season so I can go to Brazil to see the grandbaby.

AND, this morning, a temporary crown came off a tooth.  The dentist does not have office hours on Friday and has not responded to a message left on his answering machine.  When he was working on me, I think he said he was going motorcycle riding this weekend in Virginia.  He does not have an emergency number listed in the phone book.

My project that is overdue and sort of critical to my job is not getting done as my brain is currently just spinning inside my head.

Update...I was let go today.

I'm still here though. ha And I was invited to the holiday party. my boss hugged me and cried. I cried.

wow! I'm blown away by how this all went down. In a good way.

Another sitter gave me a recommendation of someone to call.  The temporary crown was not damaged so I slipped it back on and it is staying in place.  I guess that will do until Monday.  I will survive. 

Melons squeezes help too.

Back to work on the report.

Awww - I'm sorry.  While it wasn't unexpected for you, I know it wasn't the news you wanted. 

All it means is that there is something better out there for you, and this gives you the space and time to find out what that is.

hahaaaa my dog does this sometimes - I got a new bed which is higher than my last, by quite a bit (I used to have one of those "modern" low beds). The first few times he tried to jump up and completely did not clear the height and I laughed so hard. He just kind of slid down onto the floor and sat there.
